  1. TSS. Sorry, I'm a very large Lunar fan. I also hated the remakes.
  2. Replace the putter. It's not like you use it. "Sensei, why must I carry putter?" "Young grasshopper, putter part of sport. You carry it to remind you of ... ahhhh... Because I evil sensei and wish you to feed dragon!"
  3. I rather like the image of the ninja swinging his golf club like a sword. Why bother with blades?
  4. I've played a bunch of 7800 games through emulators(some day I will own a deck...), and all I have to say is that BallBlazer plays better with analog, even though it looks REALLY sweet on the 7800(and has a POKEY in it, so no sound downgrade!). As far as compatibility... I own 2 VCSes. I see backwards compatibility as a non-issue. Finding the space to leave the 5200 hooked up, however... That's another story. Beauty comes at a price, I suppose.
  5. *plays taps for the departed*
  6. Breakout? I always thought the analog was for Star Wars.
  7. Indeed. Oddly enough, for all the complaints, I find the 5200 stick to be among my favorite controllers. Too bad it self-destructs. Don't forget the esoteric stuff. It's got Qix. And the only home port EVER of Space Dungeon. ... Missile command makes me sad, though. 14 buttons and only one missile silo. Whereas the 5200 is friggin' huge and can't play VCS games.
  8. YES!And you could knock it from rooftops and leap between buildings and smack it off the roofs of cars and it'd be JUST LIKE a ninja movie, only with golf balls! ... It's amazing how far novelty cna take a game.
  9. Yah. The 5200 hardware isn't compatible with the VCS, and it most certainly isn't powerful enough to emulate it. Hence, a 2600-in-a-box is the only solution, by process of elimination. If I recall, it even has it's own controller ports, so the 5200 isn't even used for input.

    What is GBA?

I've also seen GBO thrown around a few places to stand for GameBoy Original.
  11. Best Atari game: Tempest. Best Atari Games game: RoadBlasters. Best of the 2... Likely to change from minute to minute, so I won't say.
  12. I love the INTV1. It's ALMOST as classy looking as a 5200(best. case. ever.). As far as controllers... While I loathe hard-wired controllers on principle(a rash of severed cords on my NES and SNES has made me a tad leery of anything that can't be replaced), I haven't had a problem with the INTV's pads(which also have a nice protective cubby). ... Well, aside from the fundamental flaw in their design. Heaven forbid you want to press more than one button at once.
  13. The Power Base Converter fits a Gen2 QUITE well... Well, mine does. I grant that this is because the previous owner took a Dremel and cut the back tab off to MAKE it fit, but... And I love the Control Stick. It's a tad lightweight, but any controller that puts the directionals back under my dominant hand where they belong is good by me.
  14. Ahhhhh... It's so nice to see someone not afraid to challenge the conventional wisdom. I too loathed EarthBound. And I have liked many RPGs in the past.
