  1. Greetings everyone,

Due to some bad luck and a less than serious car accident, I need to raise some money to pay for the insurance deductable. I dont have any prices in mind so feel free to shoot me offers via PM. I'm normally a regular on GameTZ (same name as here) so if you want to look at my feedback you're more than welcome. Also, please let me know if I'm doing this incorrectly. I'll also be updating this as the week goes on so expect more items and better formatting.

I wont put prices on all of the games since anyone can use VGPC, but I will update with pictures as I can. I do a lot of field work so I'll update in batches as I can.

    Thanks!

  2. Greetings,

I'm looking to get some of my loose 2600 carts into some kind of case or what not but I'm not sure what options there are. UGCs, Bit Boxes, etc. What have you folks done that seems to work well? I'm not doing this for all my carts but I have a handful that have been in the family for over 35 years and I'd like to keep them safe.

    Thanks!

  3. Hey all,

I got a console only 7800 a couple years back and I never really had the inclination to hook it up...until now. I'd like to finally play it. Do you know of a good place to get the replacement cables and maybe a controller? I think I remember going to the best electronics site and it wasn't helpful but it's been a while.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. Wait they're doing a second batch?!

As I am aware, they've been working through a second run for a while now. I think others could shed more light on this since I only come back to this thread every now and again. Mainly to see if things were still moving along...

  5.

It's quick. Week or two tops. Enjoy, this version is "just right" as far as the difficulty goes. The hardest version I have played so far was the 3DO version, which was annoying so..

Ooooh, awesome, thanks! I remember sucking at this game as a kid on the SNES and I don't expect much else has changed.

  6. I was only 7 in 1993, so my perspective is a little bit more limited compared to some of you. I also happened to live about right in the middle between the S.F. Bay Area and Sacramento Valley so one would think we would have better access than most. That was not the case at all. Our Toys R Us never carried it, neither did any of our department stores. I didn't even know it existed until much later because of my gaming cousin who dedicated himself to gaming. Even had I heard about it, 200+ bucks for a new console was a LOT of money back then. The same year I was able to buy a SNES with Zelda from Toys R Us for about 110 or 120 (with a ten dollar off coupon). I saved for like a year just to get that! And since the SNES and Genesis was still going strong, none of us even wanted a new console (even had we known about it...).

I know I'm rambling a bit, but the Jaguar really had an uphill battle with the average consumer. Existing platforms were still going strong (and were much cheaper), their marketing and distribution was terribad, and the next wave of consoles were already on the way. I don't think the Jag ever had a chance...which is really sad because I love it so much. I love it and yet I dont know why sometimes...hm.

  7. I remembering being a kid and knowing that a 32x and a Saturn existed, but for all of my friends (and myself) it didn't really matter; we were all waiting on a new Nintendo system or were happy with the SNES. The Genesis was good, but seriously lacked the king of games we got hooked on. Namely, RPGs. The Phantasy Star and Shining series were good, but lacked what Final Fantasy and other games brought. 1995 had the Saturn, but it also had Chrono Trigger. None of us cared about a new Sega system because the games would be...well...Sega games. Good arcade ports to people who don't play arcade games that much doesn't matter. I still remember playing a demo of NIGHTS at my local Circuit City (double whammy there) and thought it looked good but was frustrated by the controls and game concepts. Maybe that left a bad impression on me but I didn't play a Saturn again until my Japanese friend brought over Shining the Holy Ark, which was awesome. I dont know, I'm rambling. I just don't think Sega marketed it properly to the audience but looking back I wish I would've got it.

  8. Greetings everyone,

I enjoy playing with RPG Maker quite a bit and I was curious if one might think it possible to be able to export/translate something like that to a Jag game? I know there are tons of differences, programming languages notwithstanding, but I thought I'd ask since it just popped into my head.

    Thanks!
