I'll declare for one.

Oh man, I don't even vote for my country. This is way more complicated.

Not a bad idea, really. I had a feeling working on an RPG would take time haha.

I'm in the design stage for a point and click adventure game and a traditional ff like RPG. Since I just got a new job and I'm moving I can't work on either of the prototypes, but I'm hoping to start in September. I also have very limited coding skills so this might not happen at all, but I can dream xp.

Dunno if its good or not, but I love Crüe Ball on my Genny.

What other consoles do you collect besides Jaguar?
guiltl3ss replied to SuperDork3000's topic in Atari Jaguar
I collect snything, just about. If its a video game then I want it, even if its terrible. I love em all with a soft spot for Sega and Atari, especially Saturn and Jaguar. -
Okay sounds good. If I'm slow to respond, I apologize. My wife and I are getting ready to move and I have a job interview on Monday. Its been a crazy week!

Gives me time to get some money put away for it, so works well for me. Can't wait!

AA Site Survey: Atari Jaguar and Jaguar CD Owners
guiltl3ss replied to NeoGeoNinja's topic in Atari Jaguar
I think the most obvious advantage the CD has over the cart is ease and cost of production. Carts seem to be more complicated. I know I personally prefer cart but that's also because I still need a Jag CD. If I ever get my Jag Dev going, I'll be working on cart releases...but this survey has really surprised me with the number of Jag CD owners. Maybe I'll consider getting a Jag CD now to work with...who knows. Either way, great information and it's always great to host dialogues like this! -
Oh, as long as it wouldn't be a problem I would love any help I could get! Thank you!

As an aspiring Jaguar developer, all of these comments have really helped my understanding of the system and the community. I'm not being a sarcastic ass, I really do mean it. Thanks OP and thanks posters!

Awesome thanks!

Hey guys, I know there are many topics similar to this one so I do apologize in advance, but I do hope my spin on the question will be unique enough to avoid ire! I want to get into Jag programming, but I have only done VERY basic programming. Where would you suggest starting to get the skills to eventually progress to Jag programming? I've read a lot of the documentation, especially for Jag, and I guess I need to learn Assembler. This this correct? Would you suggest a language to learn...and maybe find a book on at the local thrift store? Honestly, is jumping into Jag programming something that should be done? I love the Jag and have some ideas that I would love to make happen. Thanks!

Wish I had a Jag CD. Looks awesome, though!

I really enjoy the Jaguar controller. While I might like some bumper buttons (like L and R on SNES controller), the num pad is really nifty with the game inlays. Love it with doom to change weapons instead of Next/Back that most console ports make is deal with. Its fun and a nice throwback to Gen 2 systems.

I'm with you, there. Would love to see more cart love, but it costs more to make. Jagtopus seems like it could help, somewhat....here's hoping!
-
I have to say that the game I play most on my Jag is Wolf 3d. I wonder if the new wolf is going cause price flux...I hope not.

Also PC Doom with the Brutal Doom mod is quite excellent. Check it out if you haven't seen it before. It's sooooo good!

Don't forget shift-toast.

Doom - iTstr Version
-
I was going to reply, but Austin already made all of the points I was going to make...and then some! PSX version was certainly great, especially with more levels and such, but I feel the Jag version just plays better. Music and shoulder strafing are sorely missed, of course. I recall John Carmack preferred the Jag for whatever reason. But it is a moot point now since I'm sure my toaster has a version of Doom now. Besides, any version of doom is fun ^^...it just varies by degrees.

Totally thought this when I first saw the vid.

I think this game will finally push me to get a Jag CD unit! It looks wonderful. I don't think I would require mouse/track support...I love D-pads to a fault.

Oh, Jaguar also has the best (though music-less) version of Doom on consoles! Oh, and Wolfenstein too!
