  1. So a while back I unintentionally won a lot on eBay consisting of a C64 computer, C128 computer, a 1541 floppy drive, a 1571 floppy drive, and sundry cables and controllers. So far I have been able to test and use everything except the C128, as the only cable not included was the power supply for it (there was a wrong power supply for the C64, but I was able to find another power supply for it). So I really would like to get an original, working power supply cable for the C128, since I can't even confirm if it's working or not at this point. []
  2. Hm, yeah, you'd have to use a VGA converter. I have one of those, but it forces High-Res output, meaning monochrome only. []
  3. Which model of the 5200 is it? Four controller ports or two? []
  4. Collection pages have been updated with a few new things, including my Atari ST stuff: http://www.jttheninja.com/collections/computing/index.html I will be getting some more up-to-date pics soon, with a breakdown of hardware, etc. []
  5. Do you have multiple of those Seawolf carts CiB? If so, can you hold one for a couple weeks until my next paycheck? []
  6. Is that $80 Canadian or USD? Also, can you check shipping to Pennsylvania? []
  7. Thread necromancy: I have a 1040STf and Deluxe Paint. Are there any tablets that would work with it? []
  8. @pixelmischief: thanks for the "nice" sentiment, but I prefer to use original hardware if possible. In the future, you don't need to swear at me to make a point. @retro-z: I've managed to acquire a floppy drive from eBay (presuming it works), but am still looking for a hard drive. I'll take a look at your post. []
  9. As an Atari fan-ninja, of course I like Atari equipment. That said, you got pics? If it works, it works []
  10. Bought an Atari 1040STf a while back, and I'm trying to outfit it with some of the extras. Especially want to get a hard drive and/or a floppy drive, although at the moment I'm leaning towards getting the hard drive first. They're so hard to find on eBay I was literally looking at one as it sold. I live in southwestern PA and am willing to pay for shipping if necessary. PM me (with pics) if you have anything that fits the bill. []
  11. Is there a call in number, or just telnet? I got a modem for my ST, and was thinking of trying to connect to bulletin boards before I try to take it online. []
  12. I will have to keep this in mind...I use an original IBM PS/2 mouse at work because I love the feel of it. []
  13. The 1040STf I got came with a tweety board installed; to what do I hook it up, and how? There's nowhere, so far as I can tell, to plug it into my SC1224 monitor. External speakers? []
  14. Hm....looks good. Is everything tested and working? []
  15. Yeah had to get it for the game...do not try playing it with a normal controller unless you want a broken controller. []
  16. Hey all; I have a Collections page on my website that I try to keep updated, so I'll just link it here: http://www.jttheninja.com/collections/games/list.html If you click the "Gallery" link on the right-hand navbar, you can also see a few pictures of my collection. ...I do have to update it soon because of recent acquisitions, but I'll get to that. []
  17. Hrm, that's a good idea...I'll have to look into it, thanks. []
  18. Finally got a working SC1224 monitor for my 1040STf (the first one I ordered was broken on arrival because the seller didn't pack it right...>_<), and loving it. Question, though: What's the best way to arrange it in relation to the computer itself? I currently have it on a desk where there isn't physically enough room to have it behind the computer, so I have it off to the side, and I can just tell looking at it that it would be a bad idea to try to set it on top...what do you guys recommend? []
  19. Wow I can't do math...it was 2001...I don't know why I kept thinking 1998....sorry about that. []
  20. I initially thought so, but the typography is different from the usual 112 Tele-Games carts I've seen (the alignment of the game type index is different, etc). []
  21. I was born a bit too late to get into Atari initially (same year as the 7800's launch), and most of my childhood video game consoles were just too expensive (there was an NES at the daycare, but that's about it). So the first console I actually got was the PS2, back in 1998. So much of my life's video game experience was watching the commercials and wishing I could have them. I've always had a fondness for retro stuff, so I counted myself fortunate to win an Atari VCS on eBay for about $30, which came with a standard controller, paddle controllers, power supply, a coaxial adapter, and about 7 games. And I just really fell in love with the system. It was like I finally felt that I was playing what I always thought of as "video games." So yeah...I got into it late, but better late than never I suppose. Peace, JT
  22. A while back, I got a lot of about five 2600 games with box, to add to my rapidly growing collection (over 100 at this point). Among them was Space Invaders, with the familiar art on the box. I already had a couple copies, but no box, so I didn't mind. However, when I opened the box, I found it was actually a 112 Tele-games cart, a version I hadn't seen before. Just too it out again last night and decided to look it up on Atariage.com, but found no info on this strange, brown-label cart. It doesn't look either like a reprint or a faded label. See attached pics. Any info? Peace, JT
