Star Blazers or Battle of the Planets? I think I lean towards BOTP. Even 7-Zark-7 can't ruin that for me.

  No way was the New generation storyline terrible! Imo was better than the original Mospeada. The Masters story sucked and wasn't as good as the original Southern Cross,but overall Robotech was still a great series. StarBlazers is ok,but no way is it as good as the original Yamato.
