  1. Fun game and great in-game art and box art!
  2. How long does this HSC round go on for? I just noticed it. Edit - ok , it is until August 2. With the Dark theme, I could not see that dark text with that information.
  3. That's how I started to feel, too. Once I understood how to jump , when to punch, and the timing, I started to enjoy it more. But on the first couple plays, I was frustrated by falling 1 inch and dying and other things. But once you realize you have to jump down, instead of falling down that inch, then it isn't a problem.
  4. Played again! 27,200. Looks like a tie right now.
  5. PS2 Tomb Raider Anniversary. 14 hours. I think I spent 5 hours on just one stage, the one with that infuriating rope grapple jump in the Damocles sword room, which itself took 1 or 2 hours. Otherwise I am enjoying the game. It took me a while to understand how to beat the Centaurs at the end of Saint Francis Folly in this version but once I got it, it wasn't hard. I'm in Egypt now shooting Panthers and mummies.
  6. I am impressed with the PS5. It has the horsepower to produce high resolution games at a great frame rate, which is always welcome. But if I understand things, its design and SSD are going to eliminate lengthy load times and allow more variation of graphics in levels. That sounds pretty cool. I watched the trailer for Horizon forbidden West, and it looks sweet. I can't wait to see what the accomplish with Spider-Man 2! That being said, I will certainly not be an early adopter. Maybe in two or three years I'll pick one up.
  7. Great story, nice haul, and I hope your treatment goes well and is over soon.
  8. Thats actually a good idea. My iPhone notes app has a scanner built into it. Going forward I may save more stuff to PDF.
  9. Yes I do. 5200 and 7800 into VCR RF , then VCR to flat screen via RCA composite cables. Looks great, usually rock solid picture. Trying to hook up 5200 directly to my flat screen barely works, with terribly weak and static filled picture.
  10. I never played Avalanch but I've heard it is basically like Kaboom. Hope the game lives up to that artwork!
  11. I've been stubbornly sticking with Axel, playing on Hard. I play 1 or 2 rounds every evening. I need extra stars and lives to finish each stage at this point, so I'm not getting full points rewards. But its still fun.
  12. My first "Hello" program was on a TRS 80 using basic in 8th grade. My first useful program was in Atari 8bit Basic in 10th or 11th grade. Simple inventory management programs, and attempts at games. Made a Kaboom style, a mazegame style, and and Airwolf interactive story adventure game back then which was fun for exactly 2 plays. Majored in Computer Science in college, and was in MIS / IT field ever since. Edit - it's funny how memories start to return after I start thinking about something. I now remember I did a Blackjack game in Atari Basic. And some kind of space game, ripping off Star Raiders. I spent some time on this one but only partially recall it. It had a hyperspace sequence where you tried to keep the scope centered. I remember at the beginning of each stage there was an animated sequence where a vector space structure approached you , redrawn bigger frame by frame... But I cannot recall the main gameplay at all now. Crap, this is going to bother me now. Maybe I never finished it.
  13. Coincidentally, this is a new feature on the game.
  14. My memory tells me that the highest scoring opportunity comes from ringing the bell and collecting all the fruit again. However you will likely get killed more often trying to do this until you are skilled and familiar with the game enough.
  15. I can't see any reason to buy it, since I have it on Dreamcast. Never finished all the races either, it got too hard. But the visuals and sense of speed were pretty good for the day.
  16. It's all gone, for the most part, although I saved a few things (like 10%). Most of it was my notes which even I don't want to reread those! But also for example, I found the letter/email you sent me about your talking to Kristen from Atari about allowing us to use the Adventure name, with caveats. And I found some emails and documents about all the PCB's and caps etc I bought for the first 100 Koffi's. It looked like several of us at AA went in together and ordered a group order of 5200 PCB's from Joe Grand. I had forgotten all those details.
  17. It was kind of hard to do, given the time investment represented by all that. Oh well, live in the past, or live in the present.
