  1. I already own this on disc, I got it pretty cheap a year ago, but evidently the former owner used up the extra characters Code that came along with it. So maybe I will download this for PS4 and see if it gives me the four or five new characters. I really don’t like the game to be honest, but I love DC comics and there was a lot of work that went into the animations and scripting for this game, which is interesting.
  2. New DEMO dated 06/20/2020 -- see page 1: https://atariage.com/forums/topic/213695-adventure-ii-xe-demo-and-testing/ This is a release candidate. I'm not adding any more content. Despite my requests above for some bg art on the tapestries, I decided to NOT add that. It's time to call it quits and publish this game soon! Please report any major bugs in this thread with screenshot or detailed description. Thanks! I think the only difference between this version and the one I released in February would be some collision detection improvements so you don’t get stuck with certain alt icons, and all the keys have their own unique shapes now. And I added level 10 to this demo, which is Advanced difficulty.
  3. I played around with the game on Altirra just using the arrow keys for controls, and it seem to control good enough for me. I defeated two or three opponents in that play session. I watched the ZPH show too, I really like the unique special moves that each character has. I also thought it was cool that you included the alligators from Ratcatcher as one character's special moves. It takes a couple play Throughs to understand exactly what’s Going on and what the gauges mean.

I'm really hungry ... not sure what ingredients I have for a sammich.
  5. Here is one I just posted in, spans 12 years aleady. https://atariage.com/forums/topic/122386-good-dreamcast-games/#comments
  6. I don’t know, I don’t use the clubs feature but I would peruse a Dreamcast subforum.
  7. Dreamcast, Skies of Arcadia. 10 hours = 600 minutes. Most of that in the last 3 days. Captain Drachma left us again, Vyse was picked up by a new ship-owning party member while separated from Aika and Fina. Now fighting twin rock head bosses at the pirates treasure island . Probably I should have made more effort to stock up on health goodies before coming here! The game is sometimes magnificent and fun, but it is marred in some places by the frustratingly frequent random encounter rate! So I would not give the DC version 10/10 rating at this point, but definitely at least 8/10.
  8. I'm wasting a lot of my time watching shows and movies, been playing thru Skies of Arcadia on DC but after 2 hours I can't sit any more. I'm on a lot of pain meds, the narcotics end in a day or two.
  9. I think the game is done. I do want to release a demo based on the newest build. A d i want to do some more testing. I had back surgery and I'm still recovering, I am not able to sit upright at a desk for long, so I haven't been doing any homebrew work lately.
  10. https://atariage.com/forums/blogs/entry/13384-reactors/ Don't misunderstand that older blog entry, I am not personally working on it anymore, but would enjoy an arcade faithful and expanded gameplay 5200 version.
  11. Decent score but you aren't even close! Try beating 945k! The 5200 HSC just did SD last October, and a few times before that over the years. Maybe check if SD could reappear for the next HSC or HSC OE challenge?
  12. I enjoyed the interview and watched it in three parts due to the length. It is not difficult to tell which one of you two is speaking, you seem to have polar opposite personality types ! Great job on adding all the associated gameplay footage and pictures! I had already forgotten a couple games that Bob has done over all these years! Even though I own some! He really did play the largest role to revitalize interest in the 7800, which has one of the most disappointing original libraries of any game console I've ever seen. I am recovering from surgery and can't sit up to play many games right now, but I'm really eager to hook up the 7800 and explore the Bob games that I own some more.
  13. I joined today. My cup avatar isn't shown on discord. Do i need to do something like add a connection? I don't see a place in discord to upload a new avatar image. Update - I found out how to change avatar. Also, animated avatars don't work on discord unless you pay. Fyi all! Ps: discord is weird!
  14. Both of these preferably as sit down cockpits: Star Trek Star Wars Arcade Also these are infinitely replayable: Asteroids Tempest Omega Race for nostalgia
  15. Heading off to the hospital for back surgery. Can't wait to get this over with!

Godspeed  Cafeman!  You'll be back before ya know it!   (Back?   Hehaaa...Wasn't intentional, but when I read it back to myself...Whoa I did it again...) ;)

Heh heh it is indeed funny. Surgery was successful, now recovering and still feeling a little high from the pain medicine.  Took muscle relaxer so I'll probably be knocked out in 10 minutes!

  16. Dreamcast, Skies of Arcadia. 12 hours. Which is 720 minutes.
  17. Similar. SoA has frustrated me twice already. Last night, in the southern Ocean kingdom in the moonstone mines, in hindsight it wasn't that tough but I could not find my way through, plus every 20 steps there is another random encounter fight. It was getting late and I could not save until I completed it, so I searched YT for a video, and voila, there was the path I kept missing. Concerning MSR, I didn't play it until after I had already played Project Gotham Racing on Xbox. Thus it didn't impress me as much as it should have. But I bought test drive Le Mans on day one, and it was a fun and impressive and challenging racer that I played for a long time. The attention to detail and the number of cars on screen at one time was unbelievable back then. I remember discussions about this game at the Dreamcast technical Pages forum where one of the developers joined in.
  18. I'm playing SoA via disc. Still on disc 1. I am running VGA to HDMI and it looks, and sounds, magnificent! I do plan on trying the GCN port next. But that will be via component on a Wii, and I've read that there is a sound quality degradation on the Legends port, so for now I'll grind away in happiness with the DC original. Yes this was a necrobump but we can always use more Sega talk here.
  19. 12 year thread bump! Ive been playing Dreamcast Skies of Arcadia and didnt see much talk about it in other threads. Ive owned this game since it came out, but BITD I only played it for a few hours, got stuck, and never returned. cafeman Jr played it through, in fact I later bought Skies of Arcade legends for GameCube and I never played that either! So, I've played through several hours and I feel this is a magnificent game. Those who have played it, I just rescued my Blue Rogues friends and escaped Valuan. However, I had the game sitting on a dialogue screen, DC on the carpeting, for too long, and the system auto rebooted for some reason, so I will have to replay the railcar sequence and ship battle all over again. I assume the old dC got too hot? So I will finally experience the game. Edit for future readers: I just fought the red moonstone gigas, and lost. I can see now that the game is much larger than I thought. There is a betrayal of sorts but I saw that coming from the character's introduction. Thanks for the recommendation of the game, rereading made me remember it existed and start to play it.
  20. I still don't know what discord is.
  21. Does that game sell for 440 YEN? So basically $1 ?? Very cheap. Panzer Dragoon games require some replays and memorization of enemy positions, in order to pass levels. A month back I dug out my copy and same experience as you even though I'd beaten the entire game in the past! Also you need to watch the radar and quickly switch perspectives and start to lock on when new enemies appear.
  22. Ive had lots of free time so been replaying Saturn games I usually avoid, trying to find the fun. For example, played a few rounds if Virtual Golf (which is fun) and Pebble Beach Golf (not quite as fun). However the absolute craptacularest game I also devoted an hour to .... Saturn Congo. Man, it seems like it should be so fun but the devs screwed it up. I was particularly surprised at the game mechanism which has you feverish and it reverses your controls off and on while apes pound on your back!
  23. Just to compare that against the Saturn and 32X versions of VR. Jump to time 2:50.
