  1. I am looking for a 1050 in excellent condition that has been well looked after and I'm looking for a US Doubler ICD upgrade for my other existing 1050. Please email me personally at: madonna_mdna@hotmail.co.uk. Thanks, Rachel
  2. I've got an XEGS on sale if you are interested. It's in great condition. Message me Rachel
  3. Wow, such a great response The running/walking to get a hug or getting kicked to death makes no difference to the ending. I've tried all possibilties. I only questioned this because I saw a You Tube clip of the 'better' ending and I quite fancied having a copy. I love the game personally and always played it as a kid and maybe I still play it today for nostalgic reasons more than anything else.
  4. Hi all, Karateka by Jordan Mechner (Broderbund Software) was a game I always loved growing up but the only version I've ever known and played is where gets killed at the end by the Princess Mariko. Whether this was part of the joke upon completion I have yet to work out but on You Tube I have seen an ending where Princess Mariko hugs the unnamed hero. How can I get hold of the final ending? Does anyone have it?
  5. I've changed all BIOS settings before Stefan and switched everything to stock and still doesn't work. Thanks for the explanation Phaeron
  6. Hi all, I'm not sure whether this topic has been up before but I was wondering how I can convert a .XEX file to .ATR so that I can use Prosystem Software and write .ATR's to a Disk on 1050 with the SIO2PC Interface. I have tried using 'MakeATR' software for PC but when I've created an ATR and written to disk, the games haven't worked. Any help on this would be appreciated. Rachel
  7. Hi all, I don't know how many of you have 1mb Ultimate and VBXE installed into your XL/XE computers but I had one of my 130XE's modified recently. I have to say that I was quite excited It's been fun and it's certainly re-energised my enthusiasm for the 8 Bit Atari computer. Recently I've been using the following Utilities and Menu Makers that I've had on disk for years: Alpha Menu Maker Ian K Menu Maker Rob C Musical Menu Maker MultiBoot When it came to putting 'Bounty Bob Strikes Back' onto a menu, it read from high speed menu (Ian K) to normal 1050 speed menu (Rob C) without issues. When the data loaded and the game begins I cannot control anything with the joystick and he will only jump which is rather bizarre. I unplugged my modified 130XE and plugged my stock 65XE into my 1050 and the game wouldn't even load or work at all and then I tried my stock 130XE and the game worked fine. How can it be that it won't work at all on my modded 130XE with all the extra ram onboard? I tried all different settings on the BIOS and still it wouldn't work I would be interested to hear your thoughts. Rachel
  8. And with the 1050 as well, I imagine it would be around £50
