Bad Dudes - Dragon Ninja on USA machines
tjlazer replied to tjlazer's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Yes that is true but for some reason only UK TOS let’s me run these games from the internet. I’m assuming German TOS will also work. Strange. -
Noticed that none of these cracks available for download or dumps work on US TOS machines. (They work when using UK TOS) I know the US version was called "Bad Dudes" Anyone have a crack or can do a fix that works on USA machines? Thanks!

Ok didn’t know about the Revive button. That helps from endlessly dying and not able to restart the game because your so fat you get stuck on a shrub! LOL

Unicorns season: Prince of Persia for the A8!

Can’t wait for this to be done! -
Actually ROM are also dumps of cartridges. CAR is just a header added to help identify what kind of ROM it is. But all dumps of cartridges will be a ROM file.

Were you able to fix the getting stuck on objects when moving close to them bug?

What are Atari's selling for now please..
tjlazer replied to Mclaneinc's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Prices have gone up the last few years. Seems a 800XL has been selling from $150 to $200. They are still going at that amount it seems, but not selling too well. This trend has affected ALL retro computers. And the most insane has been the Atari Falcon030. One sold for $4,100 recently. Though they tend to sell for around $1500 to $2000. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=atari+800xl+computer&_sop=12 -
ok will just have to wait then.

Oh no it seems there are no enemies! Bad dump.

Here is a quick ROM to EXE dump. Seems to work but on first level the tile color changes to black when you start. On next levels they seem ok. QBERT (improv).XEX

How you should NEVER, EVER bid on e-Bay...
tjlazer replied to Faicuai's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Love how some will make a dozen bids in one dollar increments. It just boggles my mind why they do this. -
Wish there was a port of Kung Fu Master and Karage Champ for the XL XE series!

The 64k PAL seems to run fine on my NTSC and I can’t tell any difference.

Tried floppy version and could not start the game. Tried TOS 1.04 and 2.06. How do you get past the OCEAN screen? -
I finally got my SCSI2SD 5.1 installed in my Mega STE using a 2.5” to 3.5” adaptor from Amazon. Worked well. Mine had pins for a LED header so I had to solder on the pins. Working well.

I did it with a Chinon FZ357 and it works as 720k no problem. Had to hack the case though.

Thanks!

I figured I would start a new thread. So I have a Mega STE with built in ACSI to SCSI adapter. Since I couldn't find a small SCSI drive, decided to try the SCSI2SD 5.1. Was having issues prepping it with AHDI 6. Got the new version of HDDriver 11 and was able to see the drive and format it. But I had a weird issue. At forst I was playing with a 4GB SD card. Got it prepped fine, then I bought a 1GB SD card and tried to play with that. (Had it set to 4GB in settings) When I tried to set the device to 1GB for the new 1GB card, it would not work at all, would not see it. Put it back to 4GB on the device and it now sees the 1GB card. I got it formatted to a 1024MB partition in HDDriver (because I wanted to use TOS/Win mode) but then the C drive was not able to open up in TOS 2.06. Spent a few hours trying different things but then I realized my error. I am limited to 512MB per partition on older TOS. I set two 510MB partitions and now it works. I have C and D drives. Everyone works great. BUT.... I really wanted to be able to pop this SD card into my PC to transfer files. Any way to do that with it partitioned like I did? Or do I need TOS 3/4+ and use it with 1 partition?

How can we edit the ROM for NTSC?

Fletch, are you using HDDRIVER on this? How big is your SD card?
