  9. $50 for 1040ST and monitor is fair.
  10. From what I can recall the 1040STf is the more common type in the USA. You might be better off with the color monitor but if you can get the black and white one too. You can download lots of games to disk and run them on the ST easily. If you want I have a collection of single filed games (in Zip format) you can copy to a 720k disk and run them on the ST.
  11. I actually had a goal to get all the Activision carts and after a few years I managed that. There are not that many carts, but I mostly collect carts as they will not die like disks.
  12. There seems to be concern regarding the dim screen. Ask around, 9/10 Stacys have this problem due to the ancient 20 year old LCD technology! The backlight wears out/fails. The screen is dim but can be used in a darker room just fine. In a bright room the screen is hard to read. Again if you are looking to use this in a serious capacity (MIDI etc) get a new laptop and run an emulator if you must. These are more for hobbyisy/collectors... Just wanted to clear things up.
  13. Actually a nice 040/060 with modern SIMM/DIMM capability would be really nice... Nothing to crazy that will break what compatibility we have with limited ST software...
  14. Damn lots of views but hardly no comments? (Everyone's speechless I guess!)
  15. I wouldn't worry about it. I have setup drives next to crt's no problems.
  16. Has Munsie released this to the public? How do we get the registered version of this game?
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MEWN:IT Just hooked it up and it works fine. No HD though. No biggie I will install a 8GB HD I have here. Hope there is the IDE ribbon cable and bracket inside!
  18. On a side note I decided to sell my STacy 4 since I do not need two! I am asking what I paid for it about 6 months ago...$300 plus S/H See the marketplace.
  19. I need to sell one of my STacy's, it has 4MB RAM, 20MB SCSI HD and built in 720k floppy and Radio Shack PS. Unit is in MINT shape! The only bad thing is the screen is a little dim but most have this problem. Asking $300 + S/H.
  20. Before you start removing SIMMs try to boot your Mega STE with a TOS 1.0 BOOT disk and try the games! I bet they will then work!!!
  21. Is it possible? Yes, as they say anything is possible. Has it been done before? No.
  22. Well I have another one, that is a 4MB with a very dim screen! Yeah that would be awesome to walk into a Star Bucks with the baby!!! hahaha. I should make a video of it sometime! I can see it now, as I set it up, ask the baristas if they have a phone line as I setup my hayes 1200 baud modem!!!
  23. Woot! I just got this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8829518930 And the best part is the whole thing works 100% Even the screen is bright!!! Only down side is it is a 1MB STacy but thats no biggie!
