  1. What is the appeal of collecting Funko POP? I can see collecting books or games or films because you can actually use them and engage with them, but collecting figurines to sit on a shelf...? Please enlighten me.

      I have no idea. I bought a few cause they look cool (Voltron etc) but that's it.

      To me it's about as cool as collecting dead flies and dust bunnies. They might be overly cute looking to some people but to me it looks like a sloppy attempt at anime babies.

      I have some (all the Suicide Squad ones and a few others) and I think they're all right, but not something I'd shell out hundreds of dollars for on a collection. I think there's a few reasons ppeople like them so much: 1) There's a ton available and you can easily find figures for franchises that might not otherwise have too many collectibles, 2) they're relatively cheap at around $10-12 for one, 3) the uniform look of them in their boxes makes for a nice display.
