Well, time to snap up a handful of classic JRPGs whose discs cost an absolute fortune.

Halo 2600 and Space Rocks.

Bump for the 2600, which is still available. I'll leave it up here for a week or so before cross-posting on other forums.

A 2600 Jr. from bennybingo with some games. I'm indebted to him for starting me down a path that has led to the beefed-up Atari setup I have today.

I am trading it for the Gotham Central omnibus. I've seen the films and enjoyed them, but I haven't opened this in years and would like to see it go to a more serious Blu-ray collector. I'm more of a comics enthusiast at this point in my life.

also did you do the mod yourself, or sent to a tech well known for mods?
Just took some photos, finally (VEEERY busy at work). Updating the post right now.

I used it some time ago with no issue but I'll hook it up again and take some pics just to confirm.
I bought it already modded from eBay years ago. Just passing it along since I upgraded to another system.

I ship CONUS only, sorry. Prices include shipping, though. Lemme know if you have any questions.
AV-modded 2600, console only: $70 (super nice shape!) (Pics run through my RetroTINK 2x-Pro, the only way I can connect it to my TV)
Zatoichi Blu-ray box set from Criterion: $125 (out of print!) PENDING ELSEWHERE-

I stopped trying to collect for anything other than a couple of much more modern systems (Wii, Xbox 360 [which is dirt cheap right now]) quite some time ago once I got my Harmony Encore. I have some solid attachment to both of the latter systems that I just don't have with Atari since its heyday was well before my time. I still use my 2600 regularly, though! Love the thing. But I don't collect for it and have sold off just about all of my old carts, I think.

Nice—that's about what I paid for mine.

I just finished Gears of War 2. Outstanding campaign—really outshined the first one, IMO. Even though cover shooters can get a bit repetitive, they did a superb job shaking things up with varied scenery and set pieces. An all-around fantastic experience.

I just started Windwaker HD! First time playing Windwaker. Fun so far! Really looking forward to this journey. The last Zelda game I played was A Link Between Worlds.

I appreciate all of your replies! While the price of a PSP 3000 in excellent, minty condition is a bit of a put off on my budget, it seems like it has several titles, mostly RPGs, that I'd like to eventually get around to. I suppose I should put out a call for one in the WTB forum, and see if I can snag some titles I've come across that I'd like to play (Tactics Ogre, FF Tactics WotL, Syphon Filter, the God of War games...)

I find myself in possession of some PSP games in my library that I got in a lot. Unfortunately I can't play them because, well, I don't have a PSP.
- Ys The Oath of Felghana
- Ys Seven
- Crimson Gem Saga
- Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade
- Brave Story New Traveler
- Knights in the Nightmare
- Disgaea 2
I've never had a PSP before. I guess I should be on the market for a 3000 since that was the last model (right?), but can anyone lay out the pros and cons of PSP gaming in 2020? What the best games are that aren't an absolute fortune, whether it's worth getting one now, if there are any necessary refurbishments I should be aware of?
Do you still use your PSP? What do you like about it?

In short: Xbox Series X is far more powerful and includes a disc drive. If you have a 4k TV, you'll want this. The Xbox Series S is less powerful and does not include a disc drive. If you don't have a 4k TV, don't care about discs, or don't care about being on the cutting edge at all, go for the Series S and save the $200.
If you are planning on a PS5 already, I'd go for the Series S as a secondary console for Game Pass Ultimate, basically.

I plug AtariAge whenever I see Atari threads pop up on gaming subreddits, FWIW. The more the merrier.

Maybe either of these will work for you?

Hello AtariAge! I have the following for sale, or I would be willing to trade them/knock the price down for some Wii games I've listed at the bottom of my post.
I have an Atari 2600 Jr. with a composite mod. It worked like a charm and is in BEAUTIFUL shape, but I upgraded to a 4-switch woodgrain with UAV and s-video. Therefore, I no longer need this console. CONSOLE ONLY. (I have no spare video cables and the power adapter went to someone else). $80 shipped CONUS. See pics below. I'd recommend playing this on a CRT over a modern flat-screen, obviously—my main reason for upgrading to the UAV mod with s-video through my upscaler was to play on my 4k TV, since I don't have room in my apartment for a CRT.
I also have several PSP games for sale, mostly JRPGs. Pics below.
-
Ys: Oath of Felghana (CIB): $96
-
Ys Seven (mostly sealed): $78
-
Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days (CIB): $28
-
Knight in the Nightmare (CIB): $28
-
Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade (CIB): $5
-
Brave Story New Traveler (CIB): $33
-
Crimson Gem Saga (sealed): $28
Feel free to post any questions in this thread. Also, please for the courtesy of others post here right after you PM me. "PM sent," "PM'd," "I sent Bixler a message that I'd categorize as a private one," etc.
If you have any of the following Wii games CIB and in minty condition, I'd be happy to set up a trade and adjust the value accordingly:
- Ghost Squad ($12)
- Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles ($8)
- Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles ($10)
Thanks! Have a good one.
