  1. Ever heard of Titan Attacks? Only $0.99 on Steam right now. It's an awesome Space Invaders clone. http://store.steampowered.com/app/203210/
  2. If this guy runs a website devoted to classic oldschool games, wouldn't he have a relatively good idea of what fair prices would be for these?
  3. Ordered a Sony PVM monitor from Tempest and it arrived smoothly without any hitches. Fast shipping and great packing. Would recommend!
  4. Yurkie sent me a composite modded ColecoVision; excellent packaging and quick shipping. Not to mention the console itself looks gorgeous, and the modded controllers look phenomenal and much better than the stock CV controllers. Thumbs up, recommended!
  5. Ah it's in my top five 2600 games easily. I can't get enough.
  6. Thanks for the recommendations everyone; I picked up Q*Bert, Keystone Kapers, Donkey Kong, Pepper II, Zaxxon, Burger Time, and Choplifter! from mumbai. Can't wait!
  7. The top 10-20 will definitely be of use to me as I slowly begin to put together a nice Intellivision collection, thanks!
  8. Intellivisionaries is one of the best podcasts I have run across in quite some time. I'm so glad there are many hours of episodes available -- this should last me the next month, easily. Great stuff, especially because I'm also catching "Intellivision fever" in spite of being only 20.
  9. I love my Game Gear. Lots of amazing games available for dirt cheap prices. As long as you replace the capacitors you're good to go for a long time.
  10. Thanks for the advice. I was thinking of selling a few things on here, so this was a good read.
  11. Gotta love River Raid. I'll be playing that once I get burned out on Chopper Command.
  12. Congrats on the 10k. I remember on GS we would have birthday-y threads for these, so here ya go --
  13. Good to hear, I was planning on picking up the SGM eventually but was unsure of how easy it would be to get compatible games for it (poor college student, so >$150 for a game from eBay is just not possible for me).
  14. I don't see why not, along with Nintendo friend codes and Steam profile URLs for those who are so inclined.
  15. Finally broke 10k in Chopper Command! \o/ http://imgur.com/9GrJ3VY

  18. Christopher Tolkien reading the end of his father's masterpiece, Return of the King. Obvious spoilers.

  19. Wow I just checked out the first episode this is spectacular! Keep up the good work!
  20. I have not I'm afraid. What's holding me back? A few things. I picked up an Atari 2600 a couple of months ago that I am thoroughly enjoying, and recently ordered a Yurkie-modded ColecoVision, a Sony PVM monitor, and I'm waiting for mumbai to send me some pictures of (apparently) excellent condition ColecoVision carts to get my collection going. Since the Sony PVM monitor doesn't have an RF port, I'll need to pick up the Expansion Module #1 eventually in order to continue playing many of the Atari 2600 games that I love. All of this has cost me a fair sum of cash, and I would prefer to set aside money from my summer + college semester jobs before picking up more retro video game stuff, like an Intellivision, Intellivision games/homebrews, a multitude of Atari 2600 homebrews, ColecoVision homebrews whenever they pop up in the forum here, and about 15-20 more ColecoVision commercial releases if I end up purchasing some carts from mumbai. All in all, I'm planning on getting one, just not for a while. Once I'm ready I'll begin poking around about which model(s) are the most reliable/durable, getting it A/V modded to work with my Sony PVM, and looking into which games are worth owning for the system, as well as homebrews.
  21. Well in the future when I look into the Intellivision I know where I'm going!
  22. I don't have an Intellivision (yet) but that site sure looks clean. Nice work!
  23. I have been having a blast with Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, and Dynamite Headdy. Both are excellent platformers that I highly recommend if you have a GG and want to put it to good use.
