Wish I had a beefy enough computer to run DOOM later this year. Guess I'll keep myself contented with thousands of pwads until I upgrade in a few years...

Well... fudge muffins. I was really looking forward to seeing what retro-esque offerings the Coleco Chameleon brought to the market and I was planning on picking one up the day they received a retail release, but I'm pretty sure that all this deception on the part of the hardware developers has completely killed any chance the Chameleon had of ever coming to market. Rat frazzles!

Games that were a year ago $300 are now being listed for $500. Is the bubble going to burst anytime soon? Greedy scum are doing their best to ruin this hobby.

I've begun picking up flash cards due to a lack of attachment to these older consoles in conjunction with my inability to pay the high prices many quality games are being sold for these days; haven't regretted it one bit. I of course speak from a different perspective than most here I'm guessing, but I'm a big proponent of flash carts.

I'll definitely be getting this, although I'm holding off on the Megaman Collection for the PS2 version instead: https://twitter.com/SEGA/status/690234462546751489

Holy crap! Gamecube component cables are going for around $200-$250 on ebay! Are they really that in demand? Couldn't you just use the original Wii + component cable and get the same effect? I'm starting to think I should sell mine.

Simply can't stop watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. What a fantastic anime.

Another interview today. Had plenty of interviews so far, just no follow-ups. SIGH! Keeping my fingers crossed.

A local retro gaming FB group booted me after I questioned the idea a Gameboy game could be worth $8,000. No loss. It was dominated by Nintendo fanboys anyway. I prefer the company of Atarians!

Here I figured it would be Chuck Rock NIB, but judging by this, http://videogames.pricecharting.com/game/gameboy/spud's-adventure?q=spud's+adventure#, Spud's Adventure is indeed the most expensive GameBoy game. Still, $8,000 seems absurd.

Maybe I'm just out of touch, but I'm not getting the massive appeal of Minecraft. Whenever I see my nephews and their friends play it, all they do is make buildings and other shapes out of the blocks. If you take the "Video Graffiti" mode of 2600 Surround, make it 3D, change the background into a green field, and add different-colored blocks, you've pretty much got Minecraft, as far as I can tell.

I only really played it heavily back in its Alpha days, but I remember it felt like advanced virtual Legos for me and my friends in high school. We'd spend hours just exploring, trying out new objects as they were introduced, and seeing what we could muster up.
Nowadays I figure most of the appeal is found in many of the mods that (so I've heard) make the game 1000000x better than it is in its vanilla state.
