When I first opened the thread, I thought, did the o3 designers hate the machine that much that they would put a piece of tape on it telling people to "Buy Atari" instead? Then I realized who was selling it.

Another pre-emptive "put me on the list" strike. So put me on the list, I want one!

Got mine... now I have to get my Jag out of storage. (don't hate me, all my game stuff is in storage right now)

I'm in for one! EDIT... oh yeah, I was already in for one. So I guess I'm just rubbing it in and stating the obvious.

Okay, here goes... 11 dogs, 5 cats, 6 birds, 2 sugar gliders, 3 bunny rabbits, a chinchilla and 2 horses. We started with Ramirez the miniature pinscher in the summer of '92, and he turned 17 this February: I brought home the first stray about one year later, and our adventure into the world of rescue began. Our family grew quite a bit over the years, with 18 being the most dogs of our own at one time. We've had more than 10 die in the past six years, so as you can imagine we've been through quite a bit. 8 of our 11 dogs are now between the ages of 16 and 18, so there's lots more loss to come. And that brings us to the horses. Knowing that our animal family is closer to the end than the beginning, we made the decision to adopt a pregnant rescue horse. She came all the way from Canada to Florida just over a year ago, and gave birth in May. They've become internet superstars thanks to their blog at CassidyApril.com. We had 100+ people per night waiting for the baby to be born on our live uStream cam... and of course she finally delivered 15 minutes after it was turned off 12 days into the baby watch. On top of all that, we also make a living taking care of other people's pets. My wife and I have run a petsitting business for 12 years now, we work every day of the year including holidays and weekends. You go out of town, we come over and feed/potty your furry kids. Other than that, I don't have much experience with animals.

I have both, but sadly they are in storage right now.

Funny stuff.

Just finished reading it tonight. Went by too quickly! I would love to see an ongoing series of books telling the story of how each and every 2600 cart was made, a "Behind The Code" if you will. The farthest I ever got programming was some simple BASIC on the 800, but I still enjoy reading about the tech side of things. You guys did a great job putting this together, and I look forward to your future efforts. And may I say to Joe Decuir, thank you for helping create a device that truly changed my life. My fondest childhood memories are of the first night at home in 1981 with my very own Video Computer System, playing Space Invaders and Missile Command until the wee hours of the morning. I was all of 10 at the time, and it was the beginning of my love affair with technology. Had it not been for your team of hardware designers, I imagine many of us would have traveled very different roads in our lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I remember reading that article when it was first published. Greenberg certainly recognized what the future held for the industry... too bad he was such a prick at the time.

I sold all my original 2600 stuff to get my Colecovision. That got sold to get my Atari 800. And that got sold to get my first guitar.

Well, you're the Colecovision doc, Doc... now how about getting me back to the future?
