I think it would be correct to say they are not playing Beach Head II from cart! That game is quite big and would most likely not fit on a Multicart with 30 other games! And another FYI for ya that is a 800XL not a 600XL!

Is ST vs. Amiga a balanced debate???
tjlazah replied to Dauber's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Well me being heavily into the Amiga and especially the 4000, I recently got a Falcon030 to check out. I was not impressed. My 4000 is a lot better than the Falcon030. Of course I totally upgraded the 4000 with a 68060 at 60Mhz, 256MB RAM, 24bit Video Card, and AmigaOS 3.9. Thats like comparing a Atari 800 to a Falcon030 IMHO!!! -
the 8-bit's reception after the crash

The Amiga version is a lot better than the ST version. Hands down. I recently tried the ST version to compare. I own both Amiga and ST computers, as well as A8's too -
Shamus II now available on cartridge!
tjlazah replied to Super-Genius!'s topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I just can't believe people like this. This platform is over 20 years old. Images of all the games ever created are all over the internet, and a lot are freeware. To be such an ass to snail mail each and every software company of the games on Sunmarks carts is pathetic. I suspect it will lead to nothing as the companies could care less for 20 year old Atari 8-bit software being pirated. They are more worried about recent activity that will dip info their profits NOW, not 20 year old software dipping into thier profits NOW! I agree with the other poster who said the service of making a Cartridge, and not the program itself is what is for sale here. If you want to be a Pirate and play a game, and do not want to pay for it, you can download it very easily, NOT pay for a "Pirate" Cartridge! I know that on the Amiga, a few sites had tracked down Software developers to ask if they would release titles, and they do and the title is freely downloaded from web sites. And it is completely legal. Maybe this is what we should do with the 10 year older Atari 8-bit software in question. -
If you need a mouse I have several for sale! I have a 520ST sys as well as a 1040 and 4160STe. Good find!

I am in search of Karateka on Cart! Anyone know where I can find one? I can be reached at [email protected]

One thing I noticed on my 130XE is that it is also doing just that, but only on Grey XE carts! I can't insert the cart all the way in, I have to insert it like half way in for it to work! Almost all other brand carts work fine when insterted all the way in!

I like the XE line. I had a 800XL then when that died I got a 130XE and had that for years. I wished I had a XF551 back then instead of my 1050! I recently bought a NIB XF551 on ebay to satisfy that really bad want!

5200 Multicart Blast cartridge available!
tjlazah replied to Super-Genius!'s topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Never mind I was confused! It is indeed the 5200 version on the cart! I like the other version, I guess the original 800 version better. -
5200 Multicart Blast cartridge available!
tjlazah replied to Super-Genius!'s topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Is the Dig Dug on the 5200 Blast really the 5200 version? I thought that was the 800 version. -
My first Computer was a 800XL. My Dad got it for me around 1984. A year later I spilled a few drops of coke on the keyboard and fried it! We took it to a Authorized Atari Repair place to get it fixed. A few months went by and they lost it so they gave us a Brand New 130XE free!!! Man those were the days! I remember drooling over those Kewl XF-551 drives that matched the XE series! A year later I got a 520ST system. Shortly after that I sold out and got a Amiga 1000 and stayed at the "dark side" for years! (Amiga did kick some serious tail back then!) Back in 1993 I got a 800XL and two 1050 drives to get back into Atari! And in 1999 I got a Mint in Box Atari 1040STf system on ebay! Now I am Atari hooked again! I got a 130XE and XF-551 recently and some others odd and ends... Also got a Falcon030 from eBay! TjLaZah

Wouldn't it be really cool if this had an Atari ST GUI instead of a Winblowz 3.1 one? Tim
