  1. ok thanks :)

but i dont like the concept of reserve price. For my part, i never bid when there's one... i rather prefer starting the auction with a reasonnable price (that act like a visible reserve price), i don't see the point selling an item for 1$ when reserve is 200 or 300$....

my problem is that i don't know the value of mangia PAL cart only.

i think i'll start the auction at 50$.

  2. hi,

i've tested every single activision cartridge i have on a PAL 2600 with the B&W switch on. None showed weird colors : some of them were in B&W and some others were still with the right colors (like the B&W wasn't used). And i didn't fing any cart with the 'S' stickers...

It seems that true secam games are pretty rare.

The CBS games are only label variations. The cartridges themselves are the normal PAL versions. The Smurf looks green and is running in a purple forrest when played on a SECAM console. CBS did always mention the local TV standard on the labels of the PAL games, but the cartridges are the same all over Europe. The English language version says "for use with UK-PAL only", while the German language version says "for use with German PAL only" on the label.

I think the only way to find true SECAM games would be by playing them. Do any of the carts show unusual colours when played on a PAL system that is switched to B/W mode? I'm especially interested about the Activision games, because most (?) of the ones sold in France are just the normal PAL version as well, while there are some that have a little 'S' sticker on the label.

  3. the only secam games i found are those one from CBS :

donkey kong, carnival et schtroumpf (smurfs in french)

maybe there's some other Secam in the lot, but it's not mentioned on the label

for the label on the box's corner, i suppose that's for the game packed in. But i dunno if it's only for secam system, or also for Pal ones.

  4. thanks, i think i was lucky on this transaction :)

the only negative point is that both woodgrain and vader are secam. And my tv doesn't support secam but the junior is pal which is very nice :)

at least i can try my modified supercharger won on ebay two or three weeks ago :) (since this thing doesn't work on the 7800 , the only atari i owned before i get that lot)

  5. i've just received an atari 2600 lot (i bought it for about 150$). It consist of 3 atari 2600 (woodgrain, darth vader and junior), tons of joystick and paddle and a trackball. There's 145 carts with it, and some nice surprises : the third cartridge i checked was Mangia :) :) i also get 'gas hog', 'obélix', 'xenophobe', 'dice puzzle', 'threshold'. others are common games.

i bought it from a french seller...most games are PAL version, which is ok for me since i live in belgium (pal region).

How can i know if a game is pal or not ? i checked the Mangia cart, there's no indication of the region on the label.
