You might have to do some soldering in the keyboard the pins were you plug the mouse into may be broken. Take the top of or see
if it wiggles with the mouse plug in the Keyboard I had to solder my 520ste keyboard it was doing the samething.

Hi those links was good and it dusnote matter how you get a atari to brows the web as long as it works and with my way i can ftp but
unable to irc chat as yet.
-
This is my Lantronix device http://www.lantronix.com/device-networking/external-device-servers/xdirect.html
if you have a windows or mac look for telnetd windows or mac see what there is around for your computer
and you will see pics of it in being used even a old lantronix will work.
-
Now i found the lynx browser to work best and i found some keys to use to help browsing the TAB key will go to next link
the H key will go back one Page Spacebar will go next next page and Enter to enter in to a page link and with Lynx
you get a FTP program bilt into it.

The software is Antic Presents Flash version 1.60 vt100 terminal for the ST. My lantronix connects to my HP hub but all you do is
connect to your linux computer with the lantronix device and you have a unix shell working on your atari but install telnetd from a
shell terminal in linux. If you want to use color ansi you can run Taz for color bbsing but you need a vt100 terminal to use a
text web browser.
-
It's A Lantronix X Device one of the new ones all i did was inatall Telnetd in my Ubuntu shell that opens up the network to the
Lantronix and when you have a comms terminal program going just dial into your Linux computer like 10.1.1.2:23
now the shell terminal in running on your old computer. you can Email FTP and telnet and run shell terminal browsers
on your atari or any other computer the browsing is hit and miss with the arrow keys I been looking around its ssh server
stuff.

A little video i did of my Atari 520STe Browsing Atariage and google useing Flash vt100 terminal from 1987
you will see my Lantronix device in the video.
-
Ok now the Lantronix can Mulititask up to 9 Sessions in one terminal depending on the vt100 terminal you have see if it will
allow it see the Doc. In my Conex i press Alt N to open a new session a new terminal. I am connected to my Beos Shell and
Ubuntu shell at the same time Mulititasking on a digital DECpc all in DOS.

-
If the terminal emulation's good enough, rather than lynx try links2.
lynx2 seems to be the best browser to use but the arrow keys are not working looks like we will have to work around
the trubbles at lest the lantronix is more than just bbsing use.
-
Elinks works to but thing can go strang and not allways work on the terminal best in VT100, on my Dos computer i find Conex to work the best
you will have to try out terminal programes that will work. with your classic computer.
-
Now to brows the internet by using your vintage computer and lantronix device simple as try this
in your Ubuntu computer install telnetd when its installed all you do in the terminal comms program
you have on your atari amiga dos or ti. now just loginto your linux computer like atdt 10.1.1.2:23 name and password
now your in linux shell is on your classic computer and powerfull you can run lynx on your classic computer and Telnet and FTP
and do more. my brains is working overtime working things out and doing more with Lantronix for us to use.

Love Beos. Bought the retail boxed version of beos 5 back in the day. Great speed, and multitasking. To bad i got rid of my dual p2 and my ppro systems. Would be cool to run it on those systems.
My username is based on beos.
Yes Beos can run a Pentium 100 under 50 megs of ram but it can crash at times At lest its not windows me.

try this with your BeOS PE 5, And Lantronix device you use for BBSing set up your network server by ticking ftp server and telnet server and login info in networks.
Now with your classic computer with the lantronix hooked up to it type atdt 10.1.1.6:23 what ever port the beos is on now you have beos shell on your
classic computer and you can FTP to the world and Telnet out by typing open telehack.com and loginto it just like a real vt100 terminal
ill put a video up on youtube sometime and show you but try it.
