look around for a 1 meg isa vga card for it with that you can use all kinds of vga programs big upgrad from ega you will get one for less that 5 bucks.

well atari pc1 gem will not work on a vga computer card its only ega, but i can use ega gem write and gem paint in my gem 3 desktop.

ill try to make a working copy of pc1 gem on my 486 computer to work from a hard drive so it will work on your atari pc1 computer it will give me something to do or going to fail David B

that keyboard on the right is for a compaq armada 1750 laptop, i got two tables side by side with vintage computers on them.

here is a Video of my Atari 520STe on Youtube you can see my mouse working after the fixup soldering all is working and Dualterm a comms program i use to login to Atari 8 bit BBSs with useing Atascii. im no film star but see my vids.

I have PC1 disks to gem desktop ega, gem paint, gem startup ega, gem write, and msdos disk 1 and 2 all in 368,640k img files email me and ill post them back to you in zip file, These are for the atari looking at the gem bat file.

try this on a msdos computer to format a 720k disk FORMAT A: /T:80 /N:9 or format amiga disk to 720k. -

Yes i know about the arcade bbs it runs on a acorn risc os computer from london its verry good there was a nather risc os bbs to its the bbs.halium.com:23 i have dialed into that to. there is a youtube video of a dud dialing to to the arcade bbs with a amstrad CPC 64k by dialup modem try to find it on youtube. I just found lynx for windows 95 so i can brows the web in dos mode with out any trubble im useing it on my Trunknet PC a old pentium 100 and windows 95. and no matter how hard i tryed i cant get a real dos computers to use tcp/ip i do have easynet for my amiga 1200 but my eyes are to bad at looking at a tv monitor so i have to use dos computers now to see clear on a big lcd monitor. My Atari STE dont have Lo/HI at the back of it looking at the book that came with the atari STE is for ST model it has televion and lo/hi. On my STE it only has the video plug but the kind you wood use for a video connecter not tv. is more help for you exerts out there.

So I tune the tv to the atari i dont press av on the tv set then, I plug into the antenna socket, And it boots fine i made a lang disk it started up fast and with out the disk in it boots longer thanks for the info. David B
