  1. I have to say you have some amazing sound design on the game, every move and bounce can be heard with dull grinding underlying it all. The new death explosion well done and very appropriate for the game. I was going to make a comment about the difficulty level staying fairly steady until I hit around the 40k mark and the particles started whipping by me making it a LOT more challenging, great job. As for suggestions, I can't think of any more as it seems most of the things I think I talked about during Monday's livestream seem to be addressed now. I'll definitely be revisiting this game in an upcoming episode of ZeroPage, that's for sure. It didn't get a fair run being shown on the Retron 77 as the video output on that is terrible as it has vsync tearing being still on Stella 3.x I almost made it to the 60k range on my first game on this new build! Super fun!
  2. No problem, we love taking a look at WIP games! Thanks so much for making it. I think the more feedback that developers get, the better the games will be and then everybody wins! :-)
  3. My order of your book arrived at my door today! Sadly the top flap was already opened and there was no book inside! :-( When I ordered the Stella Programmer's Guide from Lulu it also arrived with the top flap open but luckily the book was inside. I don't think Lulu is using very good glue to seal shut their envelopes and I'm guessing your book slid out in transport and wasn't just stolen. It's probably now sliding around in the back of a postal truck! The letter carrier didn't ring the doorbell when they dropped it off and just left it without knocking either, I think they saw there was nothing inside and didn't want to be there when I got the empty envelope. I contact Lulu about it a couple of hours ago so hopefully they'll be able to send a replacement copy for me. :-(
  4. The massive six game show from last night's ZeroPage Homebrew livestream has now been posted on YouTube for those of you who missed it. Enjoy!
  5. No problem Dan! Have fun at the Video Game Summit, hopefully I'll be able to catch your livestream of it. I'll post a link to the YouTube archive of Saturday's ZeroPage's livestream in all the usual social media outlets.
  6. LOVE IT! The new changes are so awesome and add a ton to the game. The blue level is brutal but I'll get through it eventually. :-) I haven't found any bugs so far, great work Dionoid!
  7. As far as controllers go, last night on our Twitch livestream unboxing of the Retron 77 I tried several times to get my Sega Genesis Arcade Power Stick to work on the system. It failed both on booting while having the joysticks plugged in and also swapping while the system was already running. I also tried the trick of holding down the B button while booting that you have to do with the Harmony Cart, but that didn't work. I also found it actually doesn't allow the system to turn on if you have the controller plugged in. Maybe somebody had better success as I'd love to use this controller with it. I also tried out the Track & Field controller which worked fine so you can add that to the compatibility list. We also used the Epyx 500XJ which worked fine but I think somebody already mentioned that it does. Here's the archive of ZeroPage Homebrew from last night if you want to check the controllers in action or inaction
  8. You're very welcome Coolcrab, very unique and fun game! I have definitely never played a 2600 game like it! It's too bad Hyperkin didn't have any instructions for the homebrew games included in the system so I did my best at looking up the instructions online at the last minute. Thanks for the explanation of the scoring and tactics! Here's the Twitch LIVE show that happened last night archived on our YouTube channel for those of you who missed our unboxing and built-in homebrew playthrough:

  18. Thanks the extra info for when we play it on Wednesday Darrell! Timmy! is probably near the top of my list of WIP games that I'm looking forward to getting updates to as I LOVE Jumpman/Jumpman Jr. which Timmy! looks like it got some inspiration from. I'm also very looking forward to following the development of SpiceC, it sounds like it'll be a great development environment for all the next-gen 2600 games! Frantic is already at an amazing state and I can't imagine how much better it will be under SpiceC! Apologies in advance for this thread going a bit off the rails...

  21. Thank YOU for making this superb game! I have a terrible memory so I had to draw a super detailed map or else I'd get terribly lost, what a huge area the land of Anguna is! Great job gauauu!
  22. Oh wow, great to meet you, and thank you so much for the software! The LTO Flash! is amazing, I can finally play all the homebrews on a real Intellivision system.
  23. Here's Part 3 of 3 and the ending to ZeroPage Homebrew's full playthrough of Anguna from last night's Twitch Livestream! Amazing job on the game gauauu and thanks for dropping in on part 2 to chat! We enjoyed every minute playing it and highly recommend the game.
  24. Much better! No more heads popping out the bottom. I think you've got a solid beginning, now it's time to add some danger and challenge into it! Here's my run to 12000 before I offed myself into the void. Once I get my Intellivision modded to RGB I'll definitely be featuring some INTV homebrew on my show ZeroPage homebrew, which has been Atari 2600 so far (links below). Unfortunately Fred Kono is sold out of his RGB kits so it will have to wait a bit longer. PS: I'm not sure if you were thinking of changing the jump noise but by the end of my game it felt like a laser was blasting through my skull. Maybe something that lasts a bit shorter and goes up in pitch instead of down to indicating the upward jumping motion?
  25. Thank you so much for the suggestion of the LTO Flash! software, I actually own an LTO cart but didn't realize their software also had an emulator front end built into it! WAAAAY better install and interface!! I can see what you mean by the fonts being a little different. The new build doesn't seem as easy to make his head pop up from below but still possible. Here's a new video using the dj12.rom and you can see it happen at 17 seconds in:
