  1. Tomorrow at 2PM PT/5PM ET we'll be playing Juno First, T.R.A.S.H. (WIP), Stay Frosty (from Stella's Stocking)!! ALSO, I have the AtariVOX+ audio out piped and tested on the system so we'll be taking full advantage of Juno First's speech add-ons!! Very excited to try this all out. See everyone tomorrow on the Twitch stream!
  2. I know about it now, thanks for the heads up Dan (and ArenaFoot)! I'll be streaming a LIVE broadcast of my Super Cobra Arcade attempt on the June 13th Twitch show of ZeroPage Homebrew coming up. I'll also feature each of the games in the tournament on one of my shows each month! :-) Looks like fun! Thanks for hosting this tournament LidLikeIntellivision (and PS, great score on the A-VCS-tec Challenge, there was no way I could even come close, even though I tried!)
  3. Thanks Dan for posting my scores from last night's gaming marathon of A-VCS-tec Challenge on ZeroPage Homebrew! For any of those who missed it, you can check out the archived live stream here:
  4. Today (7PM PT/10PM ET) on our LIVE Twitch stream we'll be trying to get as far as we can in Princess Rescue (maybe rescue the Princess?) and then on Friday (2PM PT/5PM ET) we'll have three games we haven't played on the show before! Juno First, T.R.A.S.H. (WIP), Stay Frosty (from Stella's Stocking). I've also been updating the top post with the upcoming schedule for Let's Plays so you can get an idea of what's coming up and what we have waiting in the wings for future shows. Please feel free to suggest any awesome WIP games that we've been overlooking!
  5. Tonight (Tuesday) at 7PM PT/10PM ET I'll be gunning for the high scores for A-VCS-Tech Challenge on the ZeroPage Homebrew Twitch stream. This is the game for 'Round 4 of the 2018 Harmony Games' and I'll be trying for both the A & B settings! There are some pretty good top scores to try and beat but I'll give it a shot. :-) See you there! 6. Tonight (Tuesday) at 7PM PT/10PM ET I'll be gunning for the high scores for A-VCS-Tech Challenge on the ZeroPage Homebrew Twitch stream (link below) for both A & B settings! Those are some top scores to try and beat but I'll give it a shot. :-)
  7. This is definitely the best summary of the game, I seem to have an obsession with just trying it 'one more time' to get a better score. Everything is so satisfying about the game, the sounds, the movement and especially the turbo boost you get when you hit those springs! Here's my new top score for the game! I'm sure I'll continue to try and beat this one too. Next stop, 4000+!!!
  8. Heya mojofltr, don't know if you'll see this since this is an older thread but we'll be playing your game Mine Dig today on ZeroPage Homebrew's live Twitch stream at 2PM PT/5PM ET!! We'll also be playing the homebrew games Marble Craze, Beeware (WIP) and Doodle Jump (WIP). Hope to see everyone there! Livestream Twitch Channel: https://www.twitch.tv/zeropagehomebrew New Games on Classic Hardware. RGB Modded Light Sixer through a Framemeister @ 60FPS!

  10. What I was able to get this morning on Stella, let's see if I can best this today on the ZeroPage Twitch stream using real hardware! See everyone at 2PM! Damn, you have to be quick with the screen capture to catch your high score, hahahah!
  11. Hi Dionoid, really fun game you've started on, I can't wait to see what you add to it as it develops! We'll be playing your game tomorrow on ZeroPage Homebrew Twitch livestream if you'd like to tune in, links for more info are in my signature.
  12. Thanks so much Aaron, glad you enjoyed the show! Yes, I definitely think it's a great way to get feedback, immediate feedback if you're in the chat while it's livestreaming, on the games. I'm also now incorporating as many WIP games as possible so developers can get some real world play testing and I alert the programmers as best as possible so they can be watching the livestream too when it happens. :-)
  13. Wow Darrell, thank you for all the additional information about the game and also the how the ARM processor handles the emulation of DPC+, BUS and CDF, it's all incredibly insightful. I've tried to wrap my head around some of that for a while but having all the basics in one spot it what I've been looking for. Thank you for addressing all the mysteries that we were wondering about as we were playing the game, I think you addressed them all, including the mysterious synchronicity of the starfield's vertical lineup on that one level! Love it! Also THANK YOU so much for Sync Pop, that's EXACTLY what I was looking for to test out the video encoding and streaming!! This way I can go through frame by frame and see if there are any frame drops and how frequent they are! This is perfect! :-)
  14. Thanks everyone for tuning in yesterday to the show, it will be posted later tonight on the ZeroPage YouTube channel for everyone to watch. ALSO! I just placed an order into the AtariAge store for some more gaming goodness, check it out! Really looking forward to playing these games on the show! :-)
  15. Thanks for bringing this up Thomas, this is a very good question and I will be addressing this in an upcoming video about frame rate, resolution, upconversion, modern displays vs. crt, video hosting/streaming and everything that goes along with these topics. There are so many factors to take into consideration on how 'best' to display the Atari VCS on different output mediums. :-)
  16. You're the target market we're after, hahah! "lying in bed slightly drunk but can't sleep" Love it, enjoy the Draconian level marathon!
  17. Wow, that is super weird to see myself and Tanya on somebody else's TV! Enjoy us enjoying your amazing game Darrell!! Hope we gave it a definitive run through of all the levels and we didn't miss any. :-) Yes, Timmy, that's the one I was trying to remember the name of, the one that is similar to Jumpman Jr. Really looking forward to that one as it develops!! I totally understand why going to PRGE is quite an undertaking coming from that distance. It was definitely great meeting and briefly chatting with you a couple of years ago (2015?) at the event. Those are amazing Frosty 3D printing models, love it!
  18. Hi Thomas! Thanks so much for watching the streams, we love to dive into these games and give them the respect they deserve. There are some truly talented programmers making these titles and I feel it's only just to give the game as complete of a video as possible! We usually give games one play through without instructions just for fun and then start reading up about the game. The other day was definitely an anomaly where we got too into the games and neglected the instructions and the Twitch chat at well! We were so distracted! We'll do better onward. :-) I'm looking forward to doing some proper sit down reviews of all the titles I've been playing on the livestreams soon, just catching up on some other work that I have to get out of the way first. More soon!!
  19. Thanks for the link! We'll definitely be talking about the contest and also trying for some world records tomorrow if we can! Here's the video for yesterday's marathon play of all the levels in the amazing Spiceware game Draconian!
  20. Thanks for the mention Arenafoot! We'll be talking about Round 4 of the Harmony Games tomorrow on the show as we play A-VCS-tec Challenge for not only a place in this round but also the world record on highscore.com! I loved playing this game on the C=64 back in the day. :-) Hope you all can tune in tomorrow at 2PM PT/5PM ET to watch! Livestream Twitch Channel: https://www.twitch.tv/zeropagehomebrew ZeroPage YouTube Channel: https://goo.gl/aPKSYy
  21. For those of you who are interested I just did a complete playthrough of all the levels of Draconian (minus repeats) on last night's ZeroPage Homebrew Livestream on Twitch! It was definitely extremely challenging and a ton of fun. Enjoy! Draconian Complete Playthrough (Alpha, Beta, Gamma & Delta)
  22. I currently capture gaming footage from my RGB modded light-sixer Atari 2600 through a Framemeister and into an Elgato HD60S and it works pretty well but it's definitely skipping/duplicating frames here and there for whatever reason. I upgraded a month or so ago from an Elgato HD60 to the HD60S and it works better but it's still not perfect. A lot of homebrew 2600 games use flicker to multiplex the hardware limit of two 'sprites' on the same line at either 30Hz, 20Hz or even at the super flicker rate of 15Hz. If even one frame out of the 60Hz is missed this can lead to the player character or an enemy briefly disappearing making the recorded footage jumpy or even more flickery than it should be. I'm fairly confident that the hardware wasn't made for capturing such precise footage and is more geared toward modern gaming or live video where a replicated/missing frame or two would be almost impossible to detect. Am I just misusing the hardware or is there a better hardware video capture device out there that's is better suited? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!! Plenty of video examples on my YouTube Channel here: https://goo.gl/aPKSYy
  23. Glad to have included your great game in yesterday's episode, thanks so much for making it! We usually dive into the instructions after we each have one playthrough of the game each and we definitely strayed off that path yesterday, I guess we got into the games a little to much!! Hahah. Yes, we usually don't take that long to find out about the game so that's definitely out of the norm. :-) Glad you enjoyed the show!
  24. Hahah, sounds good Thomas, I'll space out the goodness! :-) Great idea, I'll do some quick comparisons to the other version on Friday so people can the the differences and similarities.
  25. Tomorrow (Friday May 11th) on ZeroPage Homebrew at 7PM PT/10PM ET LIVE on Twitch we'll be playing: - Refraction (2018 WIP) by N. Landsteiner aka NoLand - DK Arcade 2600 (2017 WIP) by Michael Haas aka iesposta - Star Castle Arcade (2014) by Thomas Jentzsch We stream at 60FPS on REAL hardware via RGB modded light-sixer running through a Framemeister for maximum quality! See everyone there! ZeroPage Homebrew Twitch: http://twitch.tv/zeropagehomebrew/ YouTube Show Archive: https://goo.gl/aPKSYy
