  5. Oooh, very nice. The intro reminds me a bit of the music from Aztec Challenge, love it! - James
  6. It'll be great when I get my DF cart (hopefully soon!) so I'm able to narrow down where issues like this are arising from. I really wanted to play a lot more of Wizard's Dungeon last night, it was a lot of fun! - James
  7. Exactly, it was something I adapted from the arcade artwork so I had something for the cart art. It actually took quite a while as I had to recreate part of it due to the angle the photo was taken and overlap of the border and the arcade cabinet. I also had to create the 'Arcade' part of it and match the colours to the original art. The marquee art was from a separate source as well. I made sure to put below the graphic "Note: Lady Bug Artwork not official!" so people would know it wasn't the real artwork. Looking forward to Nathan's art!! - James

  9. I completely agree, 100% is completely unusable and unplayable as a setting and I only used it because screencaps are taken in an instant and I wanted multiple frames to blend together. Your recommended setting of 30% on Stella looks great and I've reduced my phosphor down from 50% to 30%. - James
  10. You're welcome, there's plenty to show off on the current build! Plus, with the re-write, that'll just give me an excuse to play it again when you've updated it. - James
  11. Fun game! Stages 3+ start to turn into 'rushhour when you're in a hurry' due to the sheer number of cars on the road. 🙂 Looking forward to playing it on an upcoming stream of ZeroPage Homebrew! Below is a video of me testing using a Harmony Encore on a RGB modded light-sixer. - James WATCH AT 60FPS FOR HIGHEST QUALITY!

  17. It may be true that my eyes have degraded from too many video games, but I'll never let that stop me. Keep in mind these single frame screencaps don't reflect reality and are only to simulate what I'm experiencing with my eyes. Here's zoomed in screencaps at 0%, 50%, 75%, 95% and 100% phosphor settings. The screencap with Stella at 100% most closely reflects what I'm seeing on the screen with my eyes with Stella set to 50% (my normal setting). Only at very near to 100% phosphor setting does the screencap function capture the blend of the two colours to a satisfactory level. Even at 95% I can see slight banding of green and purple in the white dots on the screenshot. I would never see this banding in real life as these would be flashing back and forth between green above and purple below to purple above and green below every 60th of a second. This is all working as I'm sure it's intended with Stella as 100% of green + 95% of purple + 95% of 95% of green + etc... is going to give a slight green hue to the white and vice versa each alternating frame. Just as a point of interest, I normally take two frames at 30Hz (or 3 @ 20Hz) from Stella and combine them in Photoshop rather than use phosphor, much better results for clean screencaps. 🙂 See last photo for an example. - James Single Frame Screencap of Stella @ 0% for Lady Bug Arcade: Single Frame Screencap of Stella @ 50% for Lady Bug Arcade: Single Frame Screencap of Stella @ 75% for Lady Bug Arcade: Single Frame Screencap of Stella @ 95% for Lady Bug Arcade: Single Frame Screencap of Stella @ 100% for Lady Bug Arcade: Two Single Frames Combined In Photoshop:
  18. The font is incredibly easy to read and I have to commend you on filling exactly 36 characters on each line! The colours look great and I can't wait for people to use the kernel for text adventures or even in game text information! I booted from cold and let it run for 15 minutes and it performed perfectly, it didn't change one pixel on the screen. - James WATCH AT 60FPS:

  21. I would be interested in one or two of these! - James
  22. I had to crank it up to 100 in the screenshot to make it match close to the blending of the two colours I was seeing with my eyes. - James
  23. When I streamed the Awards last Saturday I set the stream to 30fps as we weren't streaming (much) game footage. Last night when I switched back to 60fps I actually set it to 59.94fps which matches the framerate that the Framemeister passes from the 2600. I was surprised at the increased stability of the picture with demanding games like Champ Games' new Lady Bug Arcade where the maze is completely constructed from flickering 30Hz playfield! I wasn't sure that Twitch or YouTube could handle the non-exact 60fps but they were both fine with it. Definitely watch it on YouTube (see below, make sure you set it to 60fps) rather than Twitch as YouTube seems to be able to handle the flicker much better. The picture is pretty much rock solid compared to previous broadcasts at 60fps. This is a great step forward in the look of the ZPH stream! 🙂 - James
  24. There's a number of one-on-one fighting games being developed for the 2600 right now that could be adapted to work well for this! Using the QuadTari you could attach two of these Ultimate Joysticks with extra buttons for some incredible two player gaming action. This could have applications in a TON of games such as shooters or platformers as you could have buttons for jump, shooting, changing weapons, etc. By adapting the second joystick input you could have 5 buttons with the basic U+D+L+R+Fire and even WAY more if you want to multiplex them. U, D, L, R, FIRE, U+L, U+R, D+L, D+R, U+L+FIRE, U+R+FIRE, D+L+FIRE, D+R+FIRE = 13 and even more if combos like L+R or U+D are allowed. The right approach is exactly how the QuadTari was done, with having a game developer (or a number of developers) work alongside the hardware developer so there are a ton of games to demo the awesomeness of it when it comes out. - James
  25. SOOOO looking forward to my Super Twin 78 just for this! Ugh, it still hasn't crossed the border yet.... - James
