Thanks for the help Beery, all the work I've done is with the GPL version in Classic99. If I was really smart, Fortran99 has a debugger facility that could possibly be used to trace this down. This is one of those cases, where having in compile first to intermediate assembly would be helpful. alas. thanks,d.

I must not be doing this right. .026, E/A option 2, 3 load and run, filename DSK9.XIOS/OBJ, F9 to get back to main E/A menu, alt-= to go to menu, enter, choose option 3 For F-DOS. Wait 5 seconds - Edit, Debugger, in the debugger windows type C6522=13 - click apply. Warm reset doesn't seem to help either. Help, would like to understand what I'm doing wrong here. Thanks!

Thank you for the clarification. I thought Mike had made it a HIYW (Have It Your Way) program. If I want to use it on Classic99, I think I will need to comment out some of the RS232 portion (maybe a conditional compile) and recompile. Thank you again, for the try on REAL iron! 😃

fwiw - my playing with Fortran99 has basically come to halt. It would appear, one of the more useful commands (setpos) has a bug, that causes a lockup when that command is encountered! Maybe, someday, if we get the source a quick patch can be found.

Wow.. Thanks for the work. I watched the video, but am a little confused. Do you get a prompt on both the console and the serial terminal, or just the serial terminal?
-
Can someone run this on a real TI for me? I suspect, a terminal is supported if you have one, otherwise, I though it defaulted to the command line.

ok... found maksimiks fdos disk. But I can't get it to run in classic99 - can I get a little help here? fdos.dsk

One day until May! We want our Tru-Value-MUG!

Nope... The Frogman has been our of the TI world for a long time. I think his last major project (and a yuge one) was getting the WHT SCSI controller working in MDOS. For many years after that, he kept up with the Birdwell Award.

In case the source code to 4A DOS never shows up, does anyone have Mike Maksimik's FDOS Source Code, or another CLI? Yep, MDOS is great, but doesn't fit in a supercart! 😃

thank you, it proves to me, we had Lehigh life in to 92, and that Brad was still active!
-
Thanks, first place I went, the FORTRAN article referenced was in 89 or 90 =(

Does anyone have a treasure trove of Leigh 99ers? I found traces of Fortran tutorials in some of the late 80's - early 90's, but never found these on the cyc or on whtect. I believe Brad Snyder (who for a time was very TI active, and made a first crack at the SCSI DSR) was a member. Needless to say if you do have said, newsletter, I'd like to get copies. Thanks, Dan

fwiw - I've seen that same error, or one very similar in fortrans99+Classics99.

At the top of the forum you will see 'pinned' resources. Probably John Guion's is the easiest to follow, here is a link that will take you to it...

>Did you want me to re-patch the disk with his fix so all the tools have it, or are you good? I appreciate it, if you do that thing!

.24 Renaming a file, and typing a file from DM2K - these made a yuge improvement to my FORTRAN99 development environment! Thanks!

>During the tests I detect a problem, when the pascal source file has blank lines after the end of the source code. I have a similar problem in FORTRAN99, sometimes, when I load the source file, DV80 - I get a few extra lines between the end of the code, and the end of file marker - that the fortran editors puts in. I have grown accustomed to making sure after the end statement I get Fortran's end of file marker... I really need to setup a console with tipi, so I can easily try the stuff on a "real" TI, I don't like to cry wolf.

I might be able to help here! When it locks up (the TI part) - check to see if the emulator menus are still running? If they are - look for messages in the debugger (Edit > Debug) Then also in the debugger Debug>Dump RAM.

it so stinks the source code to great programs like ti-base, fortran99, pasc99, preditor, 4a/dos aren't available. Have to give Beery a big ole' tip of the hat for saving mdos, that one was almost smoked.....

>I'm using the classic99 version 399.022. Tursi did some fixes for me, so that on a disk image, I can now rename files and type them from dm2k, the current rev I have is .024 - the zip file on offer at Tursi's website has the latest build.

Are you pretty much done buying TI stuff... for now?

How could someone consider answering yes, when the sdd99, f18a mkii, geneve 2020 and TinyTI have not even been released yet! -
What about PHM3189 - Return to pirates Isle - I liked that, and think even with TI's limited (compared to today's standards) graphics capability if used right (with a story line) could be enhancing. Was there a particular engine associated with that game, or was it a one off?

So you had the computer and pbox on while inserting and / or extracting a card. Yea, it's bummer TI didn't make their cards hot plug compatible (a small joke) 😃 So now, you unplug your console from the PEB. You turn on the console on and you get: "blank screen black and speaker making high pitch noise." That verifies the console took a hit for your TI time. The is a hardware debugging pin here on atariago by John Guion. I'd start there. My best guess is the 9901 took a hit. There is a particular point in the power up sequence where if interrupts don't get cleared for any reason, you can end up with similar problems. d.

Gary Von OPA >i waiting on fully stocked peb box to be shipped down to me, i should have it in a week or so, and then i going to build up the 4000b prototype board that Jim >donated to me, and I hope to be able to start offering some help in this project. Are you fully setup and ready to make things happen?
