  1. I'm reading a book with a heart warming story. When Commodore purchased the rights to basic for the VIC-20 - the deal said, they could use it on any machine (or variant) that Commodore produced with a 6502 processor, and then could extend the software any way they wanted under that one license. Commodore went on to use that ONE license for the VIC-20, C64 and Plus/4 lines, with multiple enhancements over time. The book says - Microsoft felt they got cheated on the deal and never did a deal like that again. 😃
  2. I picked it up at Gleenside Computer Fair - maybe 97? Thanks!
  3. I get it!!! Went in to the kitchen as I was standing there an overhead light went out, opened the cabinet and a shelf full of food started to dump on my head - two plastic clips used to hold the shelf up gave way. As I'm putting the food from the shelf to the counter, my wife asks if I can ultrasonically clean some jewelry she wants to give as Christmas gifts, o'yea and the cat chewed the cable on the iron in half, can I get that fixed because she needs to iron for her work holiday lunch. That's just home, then there is work.... 😃 Thank you for the update!
  4. Let's expand this question a little bit! Anyone in the USA that does repair/recap/upgrades of Atari 16/32 bit machines?

  7. Is the source code to these two programs available?
  8. Thanks for the SID inform I wasn't tracking updates to MAME at that time. Yes, I was thinking PDMA, also I remember you saying that TIImageTool needs updating to properly handle the default SCSI sector size?
  9. If full SCSI support on the Geneve side just waiting on programming time - or are there pieces missing? Does MAME have SID Master support baked in?
  10. I thank the gods, they don't shoot the messenger here, but yea.. I agree.

  16. I'm pretty religious about that with hotmail, they mostly mark anything not from a fortune 500 company as spam.
  17. Anyone have the email of an admin on that site? I tried to create an account first with hotmail, then gmail and didn't get an activation email. I sent an email to admin's via a webpage, and haven't heard back.
  18. I've been talking to @arcadeshopper about making some Horizon Mouse Cables. Does anyone have one that they can open up and take some pictures of and maybe pin out the lines?
  19. Ever been sitting with your TI bro's and said something like - you know when ever I turn on my pbox, my Epson printer advances a page - and everyone gets to thinking about what might cause that? The Case of IBM 386 PC: A Detective Story for Techies by Jim Grep is like that - a handful of people meet and they tell tales of something real that happened at work and the rest of the club can asks questions - until they finally have enough information and knowledge to solve the mystery.
  20. looking at these different boards, I wonder if we should compile a database of all the different jumper wires running around?
