  1. Compared to some of the case mods I've seen, that's a VERY nice hat+case. Thanks for pointing it out.
  2. Ok Folks! Looks like all we are missing is little vinyl stickers of the Myarc swan! 😃 or we can just simulate it with a blue sharpie.
  3. Via @Atari8guy - A really nice looking hat: https://www.serdashop.com/MP32L
  4. Yea - Got that for the kindle, got halfway through and realized, I had to buy an Atari ST - so here I am. 😃
  5. Hi, I downloaded steemsse - it took me a total of five minutes to install, pull a set of ROM's and boot diskette. There is a very impressive amount of documentation in the doc folder, and going through the setup option gives a n00b a lot of information about the various hardware and software configuration available in the original platforms. Thanks for all the suggestions and tips. My main goal is to put together a system I can "Hello, World" upon.
  6. Thanks @Shift838 the Logitech bus mice and Myarc mice are getting pretty thin on ebay! 😃
  7. So, when I'm learning a new platform, I also like to bring up an emulator, that way I'll know if it's hardware or me. What's my best bet for an emulator - I would prefer ease of setup vs more technical options, but harder to setup (MAME comes to mind). Thanks in Advance!
  8. Sorry, my bad, I guess ultrasatan it is: https://amigaonthelake.com/ultrasatan-cased/ Does anyone know the maximum throughput is for this device / port?
  9. What I would like to do is hook up a mt-32 pi - looks like depending on the "hat" - they either take a USB cable or a five pin DIN connector. Since I just bought an Atari a could of weeks ago (1040SF) - I'm new to the market, so if you could show me where and what to buy, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
  10. Can you folks make some recommendation on the history and technical evolution of the atari st line?
  11. Which pi hat did you buy? What cable did you use? What software did you test with?
  12. Anyone have any experience at hooking an mt32-pi to an ST?
  13. Looks like PI's are now doing the work of famous synthesizers! https://www.tomshardware.com/news/raspberry-pi-mt32-pi-midi-synth Might be enough for someone here to dust off their old MIDI software. wiki: https://github.com/dwhinham/mt32-pi
  14. You'll have to chase it down, but the console ROM's are compatible with TMS2532. https://html.alldatasheet.com/html-pdf/103331/TI/TMS2532/24/1/TMS2532.html @atrax27407 can correct me on the part number. He might even be able to make you up a handful to have er.. on hand.. as backups. You can also program them yourself, but the challenge is finding a programmer that will give you the 25V programming voltage needed.
  15. Correct, sorry if I wasn't clear on that. Mike created the Asgard Mouse which was a serial mouse. While I often don't understand them, I enjoy reading technical books and thought someone else might enjoy seeing the serial mouse protocol.
  16. I hear printing invoices was very popular! 😃
  17. I think this is the mouse manual, Mike Maksimik carried everywhere! 😃 Logitech_Logimouse_C7_Firmware_Rev_3.0_Jan86.pdf
  18. @9640News what MDOS file(s) control the mouse XOPs?
  19. I think Rare is sometimes over used. But... For those of us in the USA, I think this title does go in the rare column: https://mocagh.org/loadpage.php?getgame=rubissacre
  20. In it's day, the TEN X Cobol Accelerator was a real thing to have. That was when companies spent 100K on a computer, a 50K computer guy to go along with it, didn't seem like such a big deal! 😃
  21. Had the Geneve taken off, we probably would have been playing Sierra Adventures propelled by their SCI: http://sciwiki.sierrahelp.com//index.php?title=Main_Page In fact with Space Quest the SCI might already be built. Available from GameShelf: https://tigameshelf.net/asm.htm
