It seems to have settled now, been on it a few times this week and working sitting fully on the console. Wonderful. 😆

Looking at the ordering website, on shipping information it states you should receive an email within 48 hours asking you to confirm address? I've had email confirmation of order but no email asking me about address? Anyone had one? Or is this sent out just before they ship item? Anyone in the know?

Looking forward to delivery, upto 4 weeks looking at the website. Hope it's easier than Myst as I'm still struggling with that! Least it should guarantee a good few weeks/months gameplay! Ha.

What is the price on the 2nd run?

Cleaned it again, still the same. I'm not going to take it apart just yet as it is fully working when I unclip the front of the CD unit. Looked at the spindle, moves fine, there is a little black blob on it, looks like someone has just dabbed it with permanent marker.

Blame it on credit card fraud, when it turns up say you've won a competion! It might just work....😉

I thought id check due to the seemingly confusion of the times.....availability states only about a 1/4 have been sold so far.

I've cleaned the CD Unit slot & the console slot once, I'll give it another clean to see if I've missed anything. Was bought used off the web. Advertised as fully working, it's in great cosmetic condition. Came boxed with inserts along with Blue Lightning, vid grid, myst demo and tempest soundtrack.

Won't work like this....... But will work like this.......... Only a slight adjustment. So from what you said, maybe when I slightly Tilt the jag cd, the daughter board is getting a good connection with the jag console slot?

Thanks for the input guys. I have no trouble with using carts in the base unit or through the cd unit port. Anyway to adjust the daughter board? Don't want to fiddle too much as it's working perfect like this :-/

Still going strong, longest I've had it going yet!! If I was sitting it right to start with this could be an easy fix/solution for anyone else with this kind of problem. However with my limited knowlage of the Jag CD I may have been sitting it wrong from the start! 😋

Ha ha, I'll wait and see over the next few days before I'm fully content. Make no eye contact, I'll keep that in mind! 😎

UPDATE Ok after buying some cleaning solvent and cleaning everything got the games working. Tried them again after an hour or so.....back to square one! But....... I now have it working! So my question is - was I doing it wrong all along or is this just the crazy design of the jag?...... Ok the CD Unit slots into the cartridge slot and at the front there's a very small clip that clips into a little hole at the front of the jaguar console to secure it - makes sense so I thought! So I decided to unclip the front of the jaguar cd slightly, just pulled up slightly so the clip pops out of the jag console and low and behold I'm in Jaguar CD heaven! Works every-time, every game. So please enlighten me was I doing it wrong all along? Does the front end of your jag cd clip on firmly to you jag console? Should I be happy with this CD unit and be content it's working ok?

Ok guys just got home for another blast. Would not load a game to start with, spinning at home screen but would not load. Tried another game, myst, worked fine, played for around 30 mins. Just tried to play another game, won't load. Tried myst again won't load. Also tried tempest soundtrack again, seems to load up list of tracks etc, but when I press play it just goes to the track number and the time of the song just stays at -0.01 Does this sound faulty to you guys? Faulty laser? Needs a clean? Just to confirm I have the cd start up screen on and the disc is spinning just having problems getting games to load. Tempest seems to load up with track numbers etc but does not seem to play. Not a happy man at moment!! 😡

I do. I only removed it a couple of times to find out why a game cartridge was giving me a "disc unknown" error. Ok cool I'll be doing the same! :-)

I could only resist waiting 10 mins before starting her up! Do you all leave it connected to the jag at all times? I've read that sone people pack them away and only using them when they play cd games. It looks too nice to put away, I really think it looks great on the jag!

Hi Guys, Took delivery of my Jag Cd unit about an hour ago - like a kid at Xmas!! Just a quick question - when I first switched it in with the Blue lightning cd, it was just stuck on the loading screen, disc spinning. My heart sank and thought oh no it's duff. However I tried the tempest soundtrack that worked fine, then I tried vid grid worked fine. I put Blue lightning back in and then that worked no problems at all!! Happy! Just wanted to know as I've read how temperamental these drives are does this happen with yours at all (stuck on loading screen from time to time) and do you think it may of been just cold or something from transit? Have tried all games again and all loading fine, got that happy but scared feeling!! Thanks !!
