I'm waiting for Sega to release highly-lauded Dreamcast titles on Steam and PSN. Games like Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia. I'm also waiting for video games to be treated like film and be re-released on newer mediums. That may never happen in my lifetime, though.

Well yeah, of course if you are 40-something years old you are going to prefer the 'adult' game.

Fuckers. I've been a victim of some bait sites recently. Sorry you had to deal with that...

Gotta love the people calling me a 'troll'. They have a hand in that site's so-called 'developments'. Typical scandalous activity at its finest.

This, outside of Mario Tennis, of course

Looks to me like you have mostly just licensed racing shovelware, which in my opinion, are absolutely terrible and could be your problem. Somebody in this NeoGAF thread brought up some good Dreamcast games that defined the system- http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=805062&page=2 Read post #85.

NinSEGA replied to high voltage's topic in Atari Jaguar
When they said it comes with Battlemorph, was that tentative? -
How did people in the late 90s find out about Telegames/Songbird releases?

Here is mine. Manufactured by Philips, serial number 03907, manufacture date 9534, which could either be March 4th 1995 or April 3rd 1995. EDIT: Also, no clear bubble-like thing for the hinge. -

I'll check for you after I watch a rerun episode of Psych on ION. -
I don't own a copy personally, but man, people ask for their newborns for this thing.

Primal Rage would be quite a nightmare to track down all of the IP rights owners to it. Time Warner, Atari, Probe Entertainment, Acclaim...

People got Snatcher for $5 back in the day. But that one is technically not rare, just over-hyped.

If you like platformers, I also recommend Krisalis Software's Soccer Kid. It's not as good as Marko's Magical Football, but it's still fairly decent. It's a bit on the difficult side since your only form of attack is using the soccer ball. DoctorClu and I have managed to come up with some passwords for people struggling with the game. I also posted them in a more organized fashion to GameFAQs. Keep in mind that it's a work in progress because how they are generated is still a bit of a mystery. Mine are generated from playing through the game normally. And if you are into top-down shooters, Midway's Total Carnage is a tough one to play. I have only managed to get to the first boss fight which I think is Orkus, and that's after using the warps. Keep in mind that since these games were abandoned late in development, they were unable to receive the proper bug-testing that they would have gone through had they come out originally. Soccer Kid is known for missing a few boss fights and disappearing sprites (to our benefit, I'd say), Total Carnage is missing its background music, and you can get stuck in hidden areas in Hyper Force. I'm not sure about the other games. These releases are mostly complete otherwise and you should support the work Songbird Productions has put into releasing these games because getting the licenses and the original source codes is a tricky feat

I've seen them sell for ~$40.
-
I hope you do someday, too. I appreciate the work you guys do. Keep it up!
-
Because it was and still is generally regarded as a terrible adventure game. The distributors probably saw the reviews and ceased production accordingly. If I remember correctly, sometimes it was better for game makers to cut production of poorly-selling games for fear of charge-backs by the affected retailers. This practice actually still goes on today, but contracts between companies vary.
-
You guys are awesome. I may never have a use for these, but at least they will help future developers.
-
I recommend that you should, especially Robinson's Requiem since that one was glass mastered. The games Carl has produced are officially licensed and are established intellectual properties of abandoned games that should have made while the Jaguar was alive (except for maybe Frog Feast which is just a lame homebrew). Some of the companies that Carl has partnered with are Rebellion (known for the AvP series and the owners to Skyhammer), Bethesda Softworks (who is the IP rights owner to Protector), and Visual Impact (see Hyper Force at the bottom-middle-left corner of Visual Impact's website?). The packaging to them is professionally done, too. It's almost as if they were released back in the 1990s.
-
Whelp, it's back up and nothing seems to be different. Le sigh.

I did a check with one of those 'down for me or everyone' sites and it said that it's down. Hopefully it's just Carl doing an update to the site. Mystery Jag project tease?
