Deadly serious about you preferring the grey-keyed controller or deadly serious about the minute differences between the two types of controllers?
-
Customs clearance times are totally YMMV.

Played a bit of Elansar yesterday, and let me just say that I enjoyed what I played. I'm not much of a fan of adventure games (only ever played Oregon Trail and Maniac Mansion), but Orion_ did a good job here. And I'm not just saying that to be courteous. I actually did like it. I'd like to see a port to the Neo Geo!
-
So are you going to play with it some more before sending it out to Orion_?
-
Good to hear! Hopefully everything goes through smoothly.
-
It came in today! Can't wait to play it later. The only downside is two of the clear plastic tabs in the case broke off during the ride over here. Pretty much negligible in the grand scheme of things.

One of the known capabilities is random disc read errors.
-
82-T/A's enthusiasm is much needed 'round these parts.
-
I got a confirmation from PayPal that my copy of Elansar has been shipped out! Woot!
-
Sell the remainder on eBay
-
I know people who liked Toxic Avenger but objectively agreed that it's a terribad movie.
-
Hey Orion_, if you go through with this, would you be having it professionally glass mastered?

downfall+ cartridge release :: initial info, background and story
NinSEGA replied to sh3-rg's topic in Atari Jaguar
D'oh, I forgot that K-A was abandoned in the 90s. This is what happens when I start doing retro gaming. -
My reaction to Gunstar's meltdown- I thought you were cool, man.
-
And the Memory Tracks are NOT fragile (at least I don't think they are), so Orion_ has no excuse this time!

Wait, you guys officially got the ESRB logo? But I thought you guys were in the UK which uses PEGI. -
I've seen Memory Tracks go for like ~$40 on eBay. EDIT: Here's a new one for $60- http://www.ebay.com/itm/Memory-Track-Atari-Jaguar-CD-Brand-New-Sealed-/161258191768?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item258bbcbb98

Yeah. Keep in mind that certain markets/industries do not meet the "status quo", or ideal way of economics. Video games happen to be one of those weird quirky situations in which a large install base of a platform does not guarantee success for software producers (see: Wii). You'd be better off finding a niche audience, since homebrew itself is niche. Think of it as either being a little fish in a big sea full of sharks versus a big fish in a small pond. I'd choose the latter.
-
Man, I wish I had your programming skills, because I'd be supporting the hell out of systems that sold little (Jaguar CD, Pippin, 3DO, etc.) and couldn't care less about the systems that sold outrageous numbers in comparison. The niche systems will have a growing homebrew community while the mainstream systems will only have fans that care about Pokemon and Final Fantasy. The reason for this is because of the amount of software released for these systems. Why care about a homebrew game being released on a system that had ~2,000+ games? If a system had like ~20 games released for it, you bet your ass there will be people in line to buy a new release for it. It adds value to the obscure system.
