yep, maybe right but have two of this good old commodore 1084 and i really like them...
-
Thanks a lot bry. It looks more complicated than I hoped
-
There's actually an additional crystal and driver circuit needed as well. -Bry right, you need two crystals for PAL, but will work than...?
-
Is it enough to swap the Antic, Gtia and the crystal to get a real PAL (color) signal out of the 1200XL or is more to do? Matthias

How about an Atari 8-bit Port?

New version of EMUAPC Atari 8-bit emulator
Schmutzpuppe replied to miko1's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I am looking forward to that. Any plans to do cycle exact scanline handling in the future? And any idea how much EMUAPC will cost? Matthias -
Cycle exact micromanagement in a graphic tool is a hard thing to do (but surly possible). The highest rate of register changing in the Druid picture needs 56 cycles, it's an ordinary lda/sta sequence, most of the time you don’t need that much changes in a scanline. A tool that can handle that would be enough to create druid like picture. This would be a good first step I guess.

Peace on earth

Right, a standart would be nice but i don't think that this is the way it would work. The editor has to adapt the code for each scanline. It's not usefull to have a generall routine that write the values to each register in each scanline. The job isn't that easy...

Homebuilt MyIDE circuit finally stable!
Schmutzpuppe replied to PFonck's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Yep, it's also faster (than LS), i'll give it a try (much easier to get than the F chips for me). -

One more question, have you ever tried to replace the 74LS04 with a 74HCT04? -

I didn't expect that the Archon 2 game play would be as good Archon 1, but Adept plays in the same league. -

It runs setting perfect with VDMSound und FV Setting. Debugger doesn't work in the Beta, right? -

I Set it to quadruple without success, VDMSound works much better in Soundquality and performance. But still fine scrolling isn't that fine, some flicker in it. It runs perfect without sound... Matthias -
Last V8 really sucks...

New version of EMUAPC Atari 8-bit emulator
Schmutzpuppe replied to miko1's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Just tested it and hey, it runs damn smooth .... But only if sound isn't enabled This soundblaster only thing isn't that cool; sound output on my audigy 2 is very poor, also I had a bad performance decrease with sound. But this vsync makes the different, really like it. Good work so far Matthias -
I get this file from the ABBUC archive. I don't know if a download without login is possible.
-
Thanks, i will take a look at it
-
Hoped that would be easier Right for run ($2e0/$2e1) but what about init ($2e2/$2e3)? Guess i have to append the files than. Thanks Matthias

You have a 160x192 pixel look-alike mode.... That's all. yep, that is what i think, there is no real 160x200x16 mode. This was done by shifting every second line for one colorclock (the effect after plasma). Or is there a hidden mode that i didn't see.....?
