Does any one like this game? I found this sealed at EB for only $24.99 (Jasoco take note, I know you love those discounts ), but I haven't had a chance to play it yet as I am really caught up in The Hulk. I've read some very good things and some very so-so things, so I can't say. I generally like Sega's work and always love a good platformer, but I'm not sure what to expect here really. Any thoughts?

Indeed I do! Not sure how rare this is or any of that tripe, but I found this little baby for almost nothing a few weekends back. Lots of variety / insanity. Little tough to figure out sans book though

Game and console sales for March
figgler replied to Major Havoc 2049's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Mmm...not entirely true, I might add! Is too true! I'm with joey -
Did anyone notice the difference in colour enhancements between the GBA and SGB when playing old GB carts? For example - Adventure Island. Plug this baby into your SGB and the colours look like hell, but if you throw it into a GBA, the colours almost make sense. Like Higgins will be flesh toned, the trees green, etc. Of course it can only apply 4 colours, but the way it selects them seems more 'intelligent' if you will. I've noticed this on a bunch of games, Kid Icarus and Metroid as well.

New GBA-SP and 8 GBA games- retro 80's style!
figgler replied to Susuwatari's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I hope they'll at least make the carts look like miniature NES games. Could be... no one's yet seen the actual cartridges right? -
Hit 47,970 last night. Not great in comparison to most, but worthy of an Activision patch if this was 20 years ago

I think Sony needs to realise that a portable system needs to be simple. Pick up and play is what it is all about with handhelds. You have to able to play this thing in the backseat of a car, in a bus station etc in 5 minute intervals if needed. I can't help but think Sony is envisioning gamers playing a PSP on their couches. Portables need to be quick, easy, small, and durable enough for a seven year old kid to use. The PSP is none of this - memory cards for a portable? Wireless this and that. PS1 esque game depth, why? Complexity on the go will never crack the GBA market and I don't think it will carve out a market of it's own either.

Is anyone familiar with SNES Super Pinball: Behind the Mask? Very disturbing! Can't say exactly what it is... maybe the graphics, the darkenss, the voice acting.. but something about this game is very wrong. Not wrong like it's flawed (it is that too), but it has a way about it that feels sleazy or innapropriate or something. Makes me feel dirty to play it. Weird..

To follow up - I think I grabbed all the NES wrestling titles listed here, just missing King of the Ring still. Anyone have any similar input for SNES? I've already assembled: WWF Royal Rumble WWF Super Wrestle Mania WWF WrestleMania Arcade Game WCW Superbrawl Wrestling Saturday Night Slam Masters what am I missing?

Funny that I was bitching to my little sister about this not too long ago. This is one of my biggest pet peeves ever. I think this is why I always go back to the NES and such It feels like it takes me longer to boot up Namco Museum on my Cube than it does to play a game of Pac Man.

I found WrestleMania: The Arcade Game for SNES today! Only $5 sealed. Of course I opened it, cause it's all about the gameplay. I think I like it...sort of a cool WWF / Mortal Kombat mix.

Midway Arcade Treasures 2 game list!
figgler replied to Agent X's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Exactly what happened here? I wonder if Midway flip flopped somehow or if IGN made it all up. -
I have 2 of these and am looking to trade this one to add depth to the collection. I propose a fair trade for; Mario All-Stars and Mario World individual carts, Super WrestleMania or Zelda Link to the Past, Super WrestleMania Let me know if you are interested

I am sooo fired up for this game! Donkey Kong for Super GB is one my all time favourites and I've been waiting almost 10 years for a sequel. It looks to be more of the same perfect blend of platforming and puzzle with a few new twists over DK 94 (wind up Mario toys?) Let the countdown begin!

It looks cool enough. Must say I don't fancy the idea of wrecking the original boxes to do it though

I don't really know if they are wasps, but if you rapidly bump the table they will usually drop the ball

Come on man, don't be so cheap. Goo Gone is the best cleaning solution for the job, specially silver "void" labels. Just a couple of drops and with a few wipes the silver goes right off. Besides, the product isn't expensive and one bottle will last you for years. Lighter fluid I say! Cheaper and easier to find. It does the same thing for stickers and has other uses.

The Oracle games are even better than Awakening, with Seasons taking a slight edge over Ages IMHO. They seem to use the same engine as Awakening, but are way deeper and more involved. They actually 'connect' together using a link cable or passwords so that you can transfer items and explore new stuff in either title. The only way to access the real ending is to play them consecutively and link up as appropriate. The colours here are nicer than Awakening (as expected) and there is a shop in each game that is only accessible if you are playing on a GBA as opposed to the GBC. Totally solid all around. Worth quite a bit more than $14.99 if you ask me. If I didn't own them, I'd be willing to pay full price to get them again

What does the trick do though? Is there a specific chest? Jumping 255 times is no problem, I can just turn on the 'auto jump' button and walk away for a bit
-
Good plan. The GBC DX version is definitely the way to go. The extra dungeon is cool and the reward item you choose is probably the best in the game
-
Even easier, just use lighter fluid. Dab a little on the sticker you are trying to remove, let it sit for 5 miutes and voila! no rubbing or elbow grease required most of the time.
-
In all of SNK - the brave, brave soldiers of Guerilla War SNK Fighters - probably Earthquake. Not the best to play as, but HUGE and mean looking even in pink
-
There is a trick on this level that I wanted to try the last time I was playing but couldn't remember it. Something about jumping on a treasure chest...

Sometimes I find that the pins on the games are on an angle that prevents them from touching the connectors properly. You can put them through a GameGenie to get them to work or shove some folded cardboard into the bottom of the cart and 'bend' the board to change the angle of the pins a bit
