  1. I prefer to keep them in their original cases, but hey, that's just crazy old me talking.

I was wondering the same thing....what's wrong with the original cases?

I have a need to keep everything in PERFECT condition. Open the game, remove the disc and slip the original case away to be touched as little as possible.

The official Nintendo wallet is the way to go

  2. I have the nes DK classics with both of them on it.

The label art on this cartridge is worth the price of admission alone

I think the music on the title screen is done well also. It is only a short tune, but sounds like the super nintendo Donkey kong country.

It is the same tune that Cranky is playing from the opening of DKC methinks

  3. IGN Employee[/b]]The writer was just saying that it doesnt look as good as Double Dragon and it doesnt. Whats wrong with that?? I mean it could still be a better game but because he says it doesnt look as good means that IGN is trash when he doesnt say anything else thats negative?

  4. Do not buy 3rd party controllers if you can help it. The original pad is optimal.

    Not true!

I have a controller from ASCII that is the best ever. Same shape, size and feel as the official one, but with rapid and autofire switches for each individual button + slow mo. It has a short cord, but hey.

  5. Going back to the original NES title: I jsut beat this one today for the first time in fact. The last boss on the roof was Simon, but at the beginning of the game it mentions 'Slick'. What gives? Should I play through it again in expert mode?

  6. And for those of you who think CV IV is too easy, try playing the second quest.  About the time you get in the Castle, you may as well forget it.  There are just too many bats and other things to kick your face in.  I am stuck in the Treasury, a level I breezed through the first time. :)

    :spidey:

I love this game! Treasury is the best looking level of all. The continual ghosts flying around is priceless.

In terms of difficulty, nothing gets me more frustrated than the bird-man with the staff right near the end. That boss is such a bitch even in the first quest

  7. the SNES is a pain in the ass to collect for.  most decent games go for at least ten dollars for the cart only.

You're right, my local gaming store asks 29.99 for Mario All Stars/World. Ridiculous!

Luckily there is a good number of fun games that I've hunted down for $5-$7; Breath of Fire, Art of Fighting, Gradius 3 and such.

In general though, SNES isn't getting cheaper anytime soon

  8.

So I think it was a good choice because it *had fun* with Nintendo's history, but I don't think it *made fun* of it.

It's the part in the fake article when they draw quotes form a source who *gasp* "actually liked Virtual Boy" and go on about the rapid price reductions the new product will undergo when no one buys it.

That's pretty convincing Nintendo bashing I say

  9. I want the Red and Black visuals though! :D

I would buy this in a second flat, but only with the red and black.

That said, does anyone else out their find this a little "inapropriate" ? I just think that it's bad form to poke fun at Nintendo this way on a site many people are going to because the are Nintendo fans.

They do this all the time.

  10. said it before, I'll say it again, fuck IGN, fuck them in their stupid asses

Right on man! I honestly believe that IGN is total pollution. It seems their focus is furthering the kinds of attitudes and trends that will make me hate modern gaming oneday

  11. Actually I took them up on the NES deal a few days ago. Nothing here is great or rare, but depending on where you live it may suit your needs. For instance I can never seem to find any PowerPad games even though they are easy to come by (according to most) and this was a great way to snag a couple plus grab a bunch of common titles I wanted but never seem to buy at the game shop.

  12. This and Virtual Boy are the only Nintendo systems I don't own. Of the big N outings N64 is the least supported. Yes there are good games, but if you are looking to collect for the system your going to end up with a very small collection of good titles. Maybe 15 depending on your tastes. All in all, I'd say to dedicate your efforts toward better supporting the better systems you have
