So has anyone tried this, yet? I must say it looks intriguing and certainly has gaming elements that I like (robots, customisation, etc). I've never tried any previous titles, but I know it's a favoured franchise in Japan. Also fairly cheap (for a new release) , what do think? PS - responses in the vein of "I'm surprised Mario isn't in this game too " and "It sucks 'cause it's not for Xbox" are not needed

Bumped and updated with some stuff I found hunting. Let me know guys Thanks

I've been into these lately. Just finished DKC 1 the other day and rolled right into part 2. Have a question though - did I miss something in the story line? The end of part 1 is the same location as the beginning of part 2 right - the Kremling ship? So how did DK suddenly get kidnapped and where did Dixie come from? Still fun, but confusing..

It is pretty decent, especially for it's time. C2: Judgment Clay is pretty good too, and both of these are dirt common and dirt cheap.

No, EJ was original. I have the first 2 ClayFighters for SNES, and Jm doesn't show in either one...

This isn't about milking and it's not about using your franchise characters to make money, all that is fine, with me anyways. You know what Mario = money. If Conker = money for Rare, that's great for them, go ahead and cash in. The issue I have is that Rare releases games so infrequently and with so much time in between each, that I don't think it's unrealistic to ask for a little more than a remake. Rare's scheduled to put out I beleive 2 titles in 2004, so look at it this way - half of all the games Rare will release this year are rehashes. Not being a fanboy about it, I just don't think that's too impressive considering the quality standards and high expectations everyone has for Rare on Xbox
-
It will be. Can't imagine where you may have heard that it'll suck, but if you've ever picked up DK 94, you'll know what to expect and you'll know it flippin rules

My local McDs has this too. Kind of cool actually for kids

Maybe it's all just context. It's rare that Nintendo will even officially acknowledge the competition, sort of acting like Nintendo is all there is. Perhaps they mean Released in 1996, the Nintendo 64 was the first Nintendo system with 64-bit graphics and built-in four player gaming potential Not trying to defend them, I'm just saying I don't think it's too improbable

I think Rhindle's a little more intelligent than that. This isn't about Xbox vs. GCN even though everyone wants it to be. It's about a hum-haw same old, same old game that's been done, features another death match mode and a some enhanced graphics. That's all fine really, but the bottom line is that I expect more and better of Rare. You shoud too.

Who the hell is gonna play Rampage for 768 levels?! No one. That's utterly ridiculous, not to mention it's outright theivery. Think of it this way - to get to 103 the other night took me approx 2.5 hours and probably 6.50 in fake credits. So too actually finish arcade Rampage, we're looking at about 15 hours of constant play time and maybe $50 in "quarters". That kind of longevity is just not going to happen (unless you're Todd Rogers) and to shell out that kind of cash (assuming you're playing in a real arcade) is outrageous. What a scam

Thanks for checking, I'm sure this list isn't complete though. I have Kirby's Star Stackers and it's SGB enhanced, but is not on the list. Godd to have something to go on however.

Everybody biased, let's just get over that. Rhindle's points hold up though, I'm not bitter about Rare "leaving" Nintendo (a mutual parting BTW), I just think it's lame for Xbox fan boys to get all hyped about a game we all played years ago because now it's Only on Xbox. Where's the ground breaking software and ideas that Rare built a reputation on? There aren't any, which is exactly why Nintendo and their fans don't mourn the loss too much at all.

Mindless fun that's for sure. I played up to 103 before going crazy and getting fed up. My advice for anyone looking to waste a night on this is to switch up your characters once in a while. Looking at the same giant gorilla for 50 rounds is enough, letting your character die and switching to another is the only thing that keeps it interesting.

Nice one.

I think the NES one ends. That's why I assumed the arcade would too. I'm starting to feel like I wasted hours smashing the same bloody buildings over and over and over
-
You're right, Nintendo will never go for this, ever. If they are not making games that work exclusively on their hardware, they won't be making games at all.

I found this code to unlock more characters and got pretty excited about it. Problem is I think it's impossible to do. I can't get the Press Start screen because when A,B,X or Y is pressed, the game skips to the Start/Options screen Can anyone else try this code and let me know if it really works? Extra playable characters sounds sweet to me Before you turn on the game hold A+B+X+Y+L+R+Select+Start then turn on the SNES. Release the buttons when you see 'Press Start'.

I spent my entire evening playing this on Midway Arcade Treasures, hoping to play throught he whole thing. Of course by the time I got to Day 80 I decided that 100 would be the cut off, and it probably ends there anyway right? Wrong, it doesn't. Does this game ever end? I don't think I'll pick it up again for a while as I'm pretty Rampaged out, but..

Thanks for the hook up -
Forget gaming on phones. In the future, phones, radios and protbale gaming will be hardwired to you brain on a little microchip and you'll just have to think about making a call or playing Tetris and it''ll all happen in your head. That's the future of portables

Best video game made into a movie...
figgler replied to Trip_Cannon's topic in Classic Console Discussion
What about Ecks vs Sever? I remember hearing that there was some contraversy as to which actually came first, the vid or movie. Interesetingly, the original release of the title has cartoonish drawings of the characters, and I think they released a second with the actual actors...
