Oh how I am in love with Miyamoto

Where I come from we call that trolling
Oh come on now!
Just a little harmless fun is all. I see nobody raising any issues when other members poke fun at the Xbox, Bill Gates, or the NGage.
That's 'cause Gates, Ngage and XBox all suck ass. Plus this is a forum about Zelda where people are coming to talk about it becsaue they are generally excited or intrigued. Not too shit on it

Rule #1 NEVER keep two handhelds from your same company with similar specson sale at the same time, people will just go out and buy the cheaper model!
They do this with the GBA and SP and it works out fine. No one buys the standard GBA anymore
-
Sounds interesting enough.. pray that it's not too linear. If they are looking to bridge the fighter-RPG gap, they'd better satisfy both ends of the spectrum. If the fighting's up to snuff, but the adventure is on rails, or vice versa, they're gonna miss the target
-
Mind, now that the big boys are taking the handheld market very seriously, I very much doubt the N-Gage will survive.Perhaps this will be the handheld for the hardcore, non-mainstream gamer? You're both saying the same thing. The system for the hardcore, non-mainstream gamer = inevitable commercial failure. See: Neo Geo

The bottom line is this... Sega is stupid.
JR
Except that whole Sonic the Hedgehog thing that continues to bring in millions...
And that nice little monthly fee they charge for Phantasy Crack Online..
Oh, oh and Blast Processing

Players' Choice or any sort of re-release is good when it comes to classic gaming. For the most part I will search out the Player's Choice version of say Mario Kart for SNES because I know that it is newer and in the long run should have more years in it than the original version..
-
Are we still to expect a WW sequel. If not, this could be the only downside to this new classic in the making.
Methinks it would be smart to release both and effectively split the Zedla franchise into 2 universes to please everyone, me included

Does anyone know if the DS will play old GB games? I know it'll play Advance stuff and one would gather that backward compatibility would be in place....
I was going to upgrade to the SP model when the NES Classics version hit, but if the DS plays all my old stuff, I'll skip the SP and wait it out. I imagine I'm not the only one.
This must be Nintendo's strategy - introduce the new GameBoy, but don't call it a GameBoy in case it fails (it won't, but in case) and then the good name of GB goes untainted.

I liked the trailer. Can't wait till this is out. No Primal Rage footage either

Hypothetical question. OK, a really GREAT game gets released in a couple of years time, and I mean a REALLY good one that's exactly the kind of thing you've been waiting for and the kind of game you happily buy hardware for. However, it's an exclusive to, say, a Sony machine. Do you buy the system and enjoy it, or do you avoid it on 'principle'?
Honestly? No, I would avoid it on principle. I am a man of my word.
Interestingly, this topic has come up before...I believe in regards to old rumors of Shenmue 3 being released on some Sony system. I said then, and to this day maintain that I would not buy or play the game if that were the case. Sure, it would be sad not too play said game, but then, there are TONS of other good games to play as well. One missed title will not put a major dent in my life, since these are mainly just "toys" if you will.
It's true and to some degree I have maintained my stance with the recent Virtua Fighter 4 debacle. I enjoyed VF1, 2 and 3 immensely...but, I have not touched nor played any VF4 title since the home ports are exclusive to Sony systems.
This is really too bad. I'm no Sony fan either, in fact I'm Nintendo till the end, but you are limiting yourself far too much because of a 'principle' you decided on that no one cares about but you. Denying yourself things that you really want (VF4) because they are tied to something you stubbornly swore off of is just plain dumb. I say get over it and play the games you want to play. No one will care about whether you stuck by your guns or not but you and the satisfaction you get from that is nothing compared to the fun you could have if you opened up a bit.

It's here! Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. First screen shots. Let the anticipation climb yet higher!
More info here:

Ah f**k it, I'm getting one. There, I'm sticking to that now
I hear that. Can anyone out there say wireless multiplayer Metroid? I'm in for life

Back in the day my friend and I used to collect dust from under the fridge, on top of his dad's record player, where ever we could and put the dust onto the connectors of our favourite NES games to marvel at the strange and unpredictable things your game would do when you tried to play it. Like dust-hacking

I tried the link you posted above, but couldn't connect. Traffic maybe?
Had to bite the bullet and go to IGN here:

I just watched the video trailer for this 3 times in a row. Good god, you must see! Screen shots show nothing in comparison. This is a huge day for the GCN as we now all drool over the ultimate killer app.

-
Here's another:That picture there is what makes it a must-buy. Real time interactivity with other players. Only talking to NPCs, writing letters to other players and shit are what made AC boring
-
Makes you wonder why Nintendo didn't just opt for this instead of the cel-shaded nonsense that WW turned out to be.Wonder about what? The cel shading is beautiful and much more pleasant to look at than the same old photo bullshit that's in every other game.
You've typed what I've always thought. Well put
-
Yeah. Several times. It gets easy once you get good at it. Ditto for Ghouls and Ghosts. They're both very masterable.T'is true. These games are RIDICULOUS!, but one you get used to the jump mechanics and learn exactly where to stand, when to jump, when to duck etc, it becomes quite a bit easier.
I did make it through the first quest on Super G&G, but did not have the patience to go through it one more time that day. It took all bloody afternooon to do it once..

Looking to buy some SFC stuff to go with my shiny new adapter. Preferrably stuff not released in North America.
Please let me know what you've got.
-
The most important fact here may well be what looks like a new Mario Kart playing on that little baby!
-
I thought KI was a Nintendo propery... guess not.
Don't they already have Capcom vs. SNK 2 online enabled? Old school fighters with next gen controllers suck ass anyway
-
like the SW games in Rogue Squadron 3. BTW, had the ROTJ code been released yet?Is anyone even sure that it's in there? The arcade machine doesn't show up on the Star Destroyer deck and if memory serves, the Empire one did even before it was playable...

-
I vote for Sword Quest. Any of them will do.
-
The whole emulaiton scene is so hush-hush! Part of why I don't like it I guess. Too bad we can't just hook the real SNES through our computers somehow

Realistic Zelda!!!

This is all I'm talking about, not trying to call names or debate anything. I'm just saying that coming in to a thread to make fun of people's opinions in true fanboy manner is not cool.
Plus obsenities f*cking rule!
