  1. Oh how I am in love with Miyamoto
    :? :ponder: :lolblue:

This is all I'm talking about, not trying to call names or debate anything. I'm just saying that coming in to a thread to make fun of people's opinions in true fanboy manner is not cool.

    Plus obsenities f*cking rule!

Where I come from we call that trolling

    Oh come on now! :|

Just a little harmless fun is all. I see nobody raising any issues when other members poke fun at the Xbox, Bill Gates, or the NGage.

That's 'cause Gates, Ngage and XBox all suck ass. Plus this is a forum about Zelda where people are coming to talk about it becsaue they are generally excited or intrigued. Not too shit on it

  3. Sounds interesting enough.. pray that it's not too linear. If they are looking to bridge the fighter-RPG gap, they'd better satisfy both ends of the spectrum. If the fighting's up to snuff, but the adventure is on rails, or vice versa, they're gonna miss the target

  4. Mind, now that the big boys are taking the handheld market very seriously, I very much doubt the N-Gage will survive.

Perhaps this will be the handheld for the hardcore, non-mainstream gamer?

You're both saying the same thing. The system for the hardcore, non-mainstream gamer = inevitable commercial failure. See: Neo Geo

  5. Are we still to expect a WW sequel. If not, this could be the only downside to this new classic in the making.

Methinks it would be smart to release both and effectively split the Zedla franchise into 2 universes to please everyone, me included

  6. Does anyone know if the DS will play old GB games? I know it'll play Advance stuff and one would gather that backward compatibility would be in place....

I was going to upgrade to the SP model when the NES Classics version hit, but if the DS plays all my old stuff, I'll skip the SP and wait it out. I imagine I'm not the only one.

This must be Nintendo's strategy - introduce the new GameBoy, but don't call it a GameBoy in case it fails (it won't, but in case) and then the good name of GB goes untainted.

  7.

Hypothetical question.  OK, a really GREAT game gets released in a couple of years time, and I mean a REALLY good one that's exactly the kind of thing you've been waiting for and the kind of game you happily buy hardware for.  However, it's an exclusive to, say, a Sony machine.  Do you buy the system and enjoy it, or do you avoid it on 'principle'?

Honestly? No, I would avoid it on principle. I am a man of my word.

Interestingly, this topic has come up before...I believe in regards to old rumors of Shenmue 3 being released on some Sony system. I said then, and to this day maintain that I would not buy or play the game if that were the case. Sure, it would be sad not too play said game, but then, there are TONS of other good games to play as well. One missed title will not put a major dent in my life, since these are mainly just "toys" if you will. :D

It's true and to some degree I have maintained my stance with the recent Virtua Fighter 4 debacle. I enjoyed VF1, 2 and 3 immensely...but, I have not touched nor played any VF4 title since the home ports are exclusive to Sony systems.

This is really too bad. I'm no Sony fan either, in fact I'm Nintendo till the end, but you are limiting yourself far too much because of a 'principle' you decided on that no one cares about but you. Denying yourself things that you really want (VF4) because they are tied to something you stubbornly swore off of is just plain dumb. I say get over it and play the games you want to play. No one will care about whether you stuck by your guns or not but you and the satisfaction you get from that is nothing compared to the fun you could have if you opened up a bit.

  8. Makes you wonder why Nintendo didn't just opt for this instead of the cel-shaded nonsense that WW turned out to be.

Wonder about what? The cel shading is beautiful and much more pleasant to look at than the same old photo bullshit that's in every other game.

You've typed what I've always thought. Well put

  9. Yeah. Several times. It gets easy once you get good at it. Ditto for Ghouls and Ghosts. They're both very masterable.

T'is true. These games are RIDICULOUS!, but one you get used to the jump mechanics and learn exactly where to stand, when to jump, when to duck etc, it becomes quite a bit easier.

I did make it through the first quest on Super G&G, but did not have the patience to go through it one more time that day. It took all bloody afternooon to do it once..
