Plus one for disable lockout chip. I think you would find instructions by a searching the web for 10nes mod.

Maybe they list things at insane prices just to drive the skinflints and hoarders nuts - see if they can get their blood pressure to pop.

Bob has done outstanding work on the games! Totally agree. Like I mentioned in another thread/post. If it was 1984 when he did all of this. I had a strong feeling the 7800 could have blown the competition away. Most underappreciated system in my honest opinion. Is that your 7800 in your avatar? That red is awesome looking on it.
Thanks. Yes that is my 7800 inspired by some painted 7800 consoles Bob did.

CART EXCELLENT, MANUAL HAS WARE AND LARGE TARE TO FRONT COVER
ROFLMAO - he should invest in a spill chucker
I love spill chuckers but not wild about automatic corruption's.

I have to go with Atari 7800. It has the feel of the 2600 that everyone had and is nostalgic for because it plays 2600 games and can use the same controllers. Put in one of Bob's 7800 games though and it brings me back to the arcade of my youth. I love it.

This must be some trick, using ebays weak spots, since he can't honestly believe this would sell.
Probably hoping somebody gets a call and leaves the computer on with their toddler in the room. Whoops what was in my cart!?

LOL Fart Cart. If the player messes up in the game, it turns the fart machine on. It could be bigger than the rumble pack.

Hey, anybody want to trade for my Chase Chuck Wagon proto or my digish Space Invaders?

Just kidding. Tonight I was counting my huge stockpile of mint Chase the Chuck Wagon carts that I have been hoarding for my retirement when I thought of this thread and had an inspiration.
Thanks to some legal advice from my good friends here on Atari age I just happened to have some high dollar plastic sheeting on hand. This is what I came up with. Plastic welded cart.
That plastic works nice. Sure welds better than cardboard.

Yes, I did weld a lid on it not just flip it over for the photo. That would be a cheap trick wouldn't it.

The world is what it is. The thrift stores used to get stuff for free and sell it for near nothing because they had a charitable mentality. Then some accountants and maybe a few bill collectors convinced Goodwill and others that they are businesses and as such need to maximize their revenues.
Ebay being the ultimate market for one man's trash helps all those places maximize their revenue.
I hate all the fees, the price inflation and EBay's customer service is terrible. Everyone seems to hate those things about Ebay. Yet Ebay keeps on going.
I happen to live in a very sparsely populated area. I don't often find Atari stuff in shops or yard sales. So even though I have literally been hopping mad at EBay several times, I do understand that they provide some valuable services.

I like it! Good job Chas10e.

I am sure many will disagree but price doesn't matter. What matters is if you want it and if you could get your money back if you sold it.
If you can sell it and recover your investment then it is money in the bank.
I never buy games expecting to make money. I buy them because I want them and I want to play them. It is nice though if they go up in value because then I can use them to get more games. The vast majority of my games have not increased in value but I think most are still worth what I paid.
If they all lost value I wouldn't enjoy the hobby much.

If the console plays other games fine, I would concentrate more on cleaning the cart.
If the cart is super super bad, I have used a plastic type scouring pad (like scotch brite) gently on the cart contacts. I used a wooden craft stick to press gently on the scouring pad while running the pad over the contacts. This is a second to last resort because it can scratch the inside of the plastic shell or pull off a contact (be careful).
Last resort would be open the cart so you can work the contacts well with scouring pad. But opening Atari carts usually means damaged label since many have a screw hidden under the label.

I don't know. Did you give it the smoke test?

Thanks guys. Glad to hear it is working for you.
Here is a little update. The two main changes are fixed some bugs with my collision checking and now the game restarts the asteroids after player dies in order to prevent possible double hit on the player.
I am also including the source code for anyone who wants to get their feet wet with 7800 Basic or who might want to change some little thing about Stufo15 to suit their taste.

If there is anyone out there waiting to develop software for the 7800 because they don't have a convenient way to test on real hardware, please don't put it off any longer.
7800 emulation under MESS seems to be spot on and 7800 Basic makes it very easy to program the 7800.
I have read some threads on Atari Age where people were talking about the 7800 being a difficult machine to program. Not so any longer. They have done a fantastic job with 7800 Basic.

What about .org or another dot? .Orgs can be fun.

Thanks Bob for everything you did for 7800.
Many a night I have dreamt of the day I might make a game as good as yours. I doubt I ever will.
You set the high mark.
Whatever you decide to do, be blessed and know that you are appreciated.

.A78 works on MESS. Tested the .BIN on a DevOs Modified 7800 and it worked there.
Free ship each 5000 points. Wait two seconds before trying to press fire on startup screen. Then you may need to press more than once.

Hard choice. Pads work great for some games but I could not live without a joystick for Pacman, Ms., Jr., etc. So, joystick gets my vote.
Now, I just hope it is a quality stick like 500xj, TAC 2, Wico, Competition Pro.

Mark IV : Codename = Unlimited Refills
Timeshare worked really well but wasn't 100% new construction and I don't like the face being open.
Unlimited Refills is constructed of .06 styrene plastic sheet and popsicle sticks. It opens like a wallet to allow exchange of cart PCB while also looking more like a traditional cart, allowing for a label and keeping the PCB covered. This could easily be built in 6 pieces of plastic. I used wood in places just because it was easier for me to shape.
If the PCB carrier and side pieces were die cut, assembly would be a snap. This hand built one was a challenge to cut without a hot knife. It is ugly inside but not too bad outside.
This is probably my last go at this. I think it proves there are options besides injection molding.
Oh yes. Almost forgot. This is an experimental design. Do not try this at home.

It seems like Atari used to put something in their manuals about this system will bring you years of enjoyment. They didn't lie. Running for a day is nothing as long as it wasn't super hot in the room.

My nes keeps blinking with new 72 pin

Could be. I did 10nes on mine when I had the NES apart to clean the original 72 pin. It works well now. Could be I only needed to clean.
