  1. 50 is requred to keep the price at current level and to balance production costs to zero.... To make any profit - more is needed. But if I collect at least 30 persons, I will produce them. The rest can be sold on eBay....
  2. Yeah, it seems that Switzerland is the best market for that . For now, I have 8 people including me.
  3. I am considering production of 800XL and 600XL covers now. However, interest in currently available models (Atari STFM/STE/Falcon and Atari XE) is below my expectations. Therefore, I would like to ask you for purchase declarations of one of mentioned models. Who would be interested in 800XL or 600XL model dust covers? Price should be similar or slightly higher than XE cover.
  4. Finally, Atari STF(M), STE and Falcon dust covers are available. Also I have new covers for Amiga 1200 and Commodore 64C. All of them will be available on eBay within next few days. However, if anybody is interested in any of them right now, please send an e-mail to zamowienia (at) retronics (.) eu . Prices for AtariAge users: Atari ST - $29, A1200 - $29, C64C - $25. Plus postage to your country (from Poland). Photos are here: Atari ST: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=B64982F3D64C1722!1034&authkey=!AHU8OLz-8JP_i8I&ithint=folder%2cjpg A1200: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=B64982F3D64C1722!962&authkey=!ALMpgICYdY5x59Q&ithint=folder%2cjpg
  5. Yes, nearly ready. Will show some photos soon.
  6. Yes, all dust covers are designed to not blind any connector sockets. Therefore, it is possible to use a computer without removing a cover, however - it is not recommended due to poorer air circulation what can lead to overheating.
  7. Try to use isopropyllic alcohol (IPA cleaner), as it can evaporate. Soap is not a good option, it may leave traces of it after drying. When you use such diskette, those particles will accumulate in one place - on your disk drive's head....
  8. Second batch is ready, around 10 covers left, if anybody is interested, price for AtariAge users is $22 plus shipment to your country.
  9. I decided to run 2nd batch of 30 maybe 40 pieces more, if anybody is interested in buying such dust cover for Atari XE, please let me know. Atari ST and Falcon covers are on the way.
  10. Thanks to all for supporting my projects. It convinces me that they are necessary. I will keep going with them. More news soon!
  11. Only very few pieces from first batch of XE covers left. Running of 2nd batch depends on numbers of people interested in buying it. At least 30 persons required for starting production.
  12. TheNameOfTheGame, ok, I will try to put one in the box when shipping ST cover to you. I am very grateful for all your opinions, it helps me to improve products and service. Anyway, it seems that XE is not very popular series, therefore, I do not plan to make a second batch of covers, when the first one is out of stock. If anybody is still considering to buy it or not - please hurry, only around 20 left.
  13. TheNameOfTheGame: of course I can ship another one, if you think that scratch is a manufacturing defect. I treat seriously all buyers, especially you, because you are first customer for cover on ebay. I can also give you a discount on ST cover. It's up to you.
  14. Atari XE cover is available on ebay. ST/STE/Falcon and XL covers should be available in April. I will keep you updated.
  15. I will be experimenting with thicknesses up to 2 mm. Especially ST covers should be thicker.
  16. Atari XE covers are 1 mm thick, what is more than enough for such size. Atari ST and Amiga covers would be probably 1.5 mm thick.
  17. I do not think that slot for cartridge is good idea, because dust can come into it then.... When you are using your computer, you are not using dust cover on it, first - because it would not allow you to use keyboard, second - computer may get overheated due to poor air circulation....
  18. I am going to offer 800XL dust cover, Atari STF(M) dust cover (suitable also for STE and Falcon), maybe short ST (with no disk drive). Would some of you be interested?
  19. Polycarbonate is much more expensive and its processing is more difficult and then expensive too. Price of dust covers is quite high yet, some of you complain about it. Do you want it even more expensive really? They are made of Polyethylene which is at the end polished, so it looks pretty good. It blocks UV too, especially UV-C range, which causes yellowing. Anyway, as I said before - I cannot guarantee that your lovely machine will not be yellowing, because UV is only one of many factors influencing it. Currently, dust covers are good looking and dust protective, what was my primary goal.
  20. I have not performed any tests with UV, as it needs time. For those of you wanted to know more, look here: http://www.opencroquet.org/wholesale/pz666e66d-cz5046565-light-yellow-crystalline-powder-benzophenone-uv-absorber-for-polyolefin-pvc-polystyrene.html As I said before, yellowing is caused not only by UV radiation, but also by temperature fluctuations and other factors. My primary idea was to protect device against dust and dirt, UV is only additional feature of this cover. And I want to clarify one thing: it is not thin, brittle plastic. It is 1 mm thick, similar to blister packages, but much thicker. It is not fully rigid, has some flexibility, what protects it against damage. But, you can only believe or not in my words. Just buy and see for yourself. If for some reasons you are not satisfied, you can return the product....
  21. I can produce cover for every model, even disk drives or monitors, however, I would need at least 100 orders collected prior to manufacturing them.
  22. Patbb, C-64-I , C-64C and A500/1200 will be ready soon.
  23. kenjennings, 800XL is on the way, Atari ST/STE/Falcon is on the way, and some other models like C-64, Amiga 1200, Amiga 500. However, interest of retro fans is not that big, therefore I doubt that I will produce it for rarer models like 600/1200XL or 400/800 or even 520ST (with no disk drive). But time will tell. As you can imagine, every single model requires a lot of work to be done, from measuring a computer, drawing a mould, then pressing, fitting and so on.
  24. They are packed in rather rigid cartoon box, but also inside there is a big distance between cover and box walls. Also, material is not fragile for pressing - it is not totally rigid, but similar to blister packages, only thicker.
