For now, I am looking for beta testers having 800 with Mitsumi mylars. All mine (four 800) have mechanical keyboards.....

Guys, it seems that Atari 800 (not XL) with mylar is very rare. I have now four 800 here, all have mechanical keyboard... Could you check your versions? I do not know if it is smart to order a big batch of such mylars... Next question: what is the price of 1200XL mylar at Best Electronics? Are they NOS, or fresh production? Does anyone have a photo of such mylar?

First dust cover for accessory is ready - for Atari XC12 tape deck. Photo shows pre-production sample - not as good as final, commercial piece. May have some scratches, not polished well etc.

Mathy, I will make special self-adhesive labels and put them on mylars. Now I cannot change project, it has been done. Original mylars do not have any model names either.

@_The Doctor_: Mylars are not yet available. That's why you cannot see them on my ebay. My website (www.retronics.eu) is very outdated, I am working on a new one with small shop there. But it takes time, as I am not experienced with websites building.... @Mathy: I could do it, but believe me - you will not be able to use wrong mylar... @Kyle22: Mylar for Atari 800 will be available soon, 1200XL - a bit later. Other models? I think they are very rare, no chance for production. Maybe 1200XL mylar will be fine? I do not have 1400XL/1450XLD.

Well, I will try to explain from the beginning: 1. First, there was a Collector's Edition in big boxes, tapes and diskettes. Only 10 titles have been released: Klątwa Miecze Valdgira Operation Blood Hans Kloss Dwie Wieże Caveman Fred Kult Magia Władcy Ciemności Because they were not a bestseller, due to their price, I decided to change my project into: Classic Edition of tapes and Collector's Edition in jewel boxes - diskettes. 2. Sixty (60) titles in Classic Edition have been released so far, look above for a list of titles, they were released in batches of 10. This includes 10 previously released in big boxes (I mean they have been released again, this time in Classic Edition). 3. 9 titles have been released in new (jewel boxes) Collector's Edition, in two batches: - Robbo (with poster), Misja (with map), Artefakt Przodków (with map, code card and comic book). Miecze Valdgira II (with map, code card and comic book) - Świat Olkiego (with map), Alchemia (with two maps), Kernaw (with map), Magia Kryształu (with map and code card), Inside (with map) All of above can be seen in this thread, I was attaching photos. If something is still unclear, just let me know.

@Lastic: How many titels are there currently ? There was the Classic Edition (where these also on disk ? ) and then the huge Collector's edition Only diskettes are in Collector's Edition (9 titles so far, will be next 5-6 soon). Classic Edition is just tape with no map or poster. As such how much would the cost be for all the current released games on disk ( jewel-case ) ? $25 per title. They are beautifully released, professional printing, not home-made parts. I read on your website that there is the possiblity for a subscription but it was rather tapes , would this be possible on disk also ? I have bad experience with it. Simply people who subscribed for tapes, usually were stopping payments soon after. But if for some reason you need it, send PM pls. out of pure interest but no buying interest , was that universal tape adapter already released ? Not yet, but will be soon.

Estimated price for cartridge version of "07 come in" is $49 (with car model), "The Rescue Expedition" is $40. Both games will be NTSC and PAL compatible and in English.

Please express your interest here. I need at least 50 persons to start production in English (07 zgłoś się! what means 07 come in!). Next production will be in English/NTSC/PAL and on cartridge - The Rescue Expedition. Of course please let me know if you are interested in.

Unfortunately, it requires knowledge of Polish language. But, I am going to release English version, even on cartridge. If there is any interest - please let me know.

And another interesting release: 07 Zgłoś Się in very limited collector's edition (10 pcs. of disk version and 10 pcs. of tape version) with model of police car from that era.... very nice piece of hardware - metal, painted with real car paint, rubber wheels etc. Almost all copies have been sold!

Strormbringer: it is not a money issue, rather lack of time... Retronics is in fact only one-person company (plus helping hands of my wife). But I have started production, you will be the first person which receive mylar for free as a beta-tester. Level 42: I have started production of 800 and XE single-layer mylars, next will be 1200XL and maybe 800XL. If there is still enough demand, I can make XE double-layer and 400. However, Simius produced a lot of them for XE.

I was trying to obtain licenses also for UK or US titles - I have contacted many companies. Unfortunately, nobody replied with "Yes, we are interested in". Some companies did not reply, some replied that they do not know who is the copyright owner today, and some told me that they sold all Atari titles to other company. F.e. Mastertronic. I know how difficult it is today to obtain a license for 30 years old games. Anyway, if someone is willing to help me with this, I can release even cartridges with superbly printed boxes and other add-ons. Fred, I am going to release: Dark Abyss (Mirage), Kolony (Mirage), Jaskiniowiec (Stanbit), Kręgi Zagłady (ASF), Kupiec (ASF), Muff-Drutt (ASF), Smuś (LK Avalon), Vicky (LK Avalon), Władca (Mirage), Deathand (Stanbit) - is any of them known as ©?

One thing should be mentioned here: my idea was to save these games from oblivion. That's why I keep all copy protections intact. I do not earn money on this project, selling 20 copies do not cover production costs: artwork remastering, labels, inlays, holograms - everything is professionally printed in factory - not homemade. Tapes are brand new, not new old stock. But my dream is to re-release all titles previously released in Poland as a one, unified collection.

Thanks for letting me know, Fred. I suspect that after 20 or more years, they do not know if they (ASF, LK Avalon, Mirage) can provide a license still. No problem, I will destroy Boing II copies. I will ask you about other titles which are being prepared now as a 6th set. Maybe by tomorrow.

Okay, I will destroy a few left copies of Boing II. I respect copyrights, it is not a problem if there are doubts.
