Module 1 compatibility question

Thanks to everyone who replied. I tried scrubbing the contacts with a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol but didn't seem to make any difference. The module seems to fit well, I'm guessing it's a bad unit.

I apologize if this has been covered before, I didn't see but am pretty new to the forums so I appreciate your bearing with me. I'm in Ohio but have been using a French Canadian console to play on. Works great and I love the power source compared to the US one. I recently got a module 1 and it isn't working; the 2600 games act like they want to power on but I get various garbled screens. The CV itself works great so I know that isn't the issue. My question is this: should there be any issues of compatibility between my Canadian CV and US Module 1? I just read about cleaning the mod contacts with a toothbrush and alcohol and will try that this evening but am wondering if there is anything logistically that isn't compatible with the two units. Glad to see I'm not the only one trying to get this library:) I'm looking for loose U.S. versions, would love everything CIB but the extra cost is a little too much to tolerate. Is the consensus that the "official" figure is 129? Really glad to have found this forum. Thanks. -Jeremy
