  1. nope, that's his old mod. The new one isn't even a week old, and Nathan Strum's hasn't been updated in a while
  2. if cart racing games is good enough, Mario Kart is pretty good
  3. From Heckendorn himself. This one is supposed to have a better picture and even works on newer LCD screens, such as the PSOne LCD and Wega TVs. Take a looky here. It's a bit more complicated than his first one, but I suppose that someone good with a soldering iron planning on doing an A/V mod may as well use this one . spongebue
  4. As CPU said, the forum is going to be changed, no ifs, ands, or buts. It should have been changed over eons ago, but the recent hacking of the forum has lit a fire under my ass to finally get it done. This software has several problems, to say nothing of all the exploits that have been uncovered, and development of phpBB is extremely stagnant compared to other forum software. As for the emoticons you listed in your post, many of them were added by us and are not a part of the default phpBB installation. Emoticons are easy to install and update--the default emoticons that come with a particular forum are not reason enough to influence the decision to move to new software. ..Al heh, I suppose I could have been more specific in that part. I was just talking about the layout/smilies there
  5. I can see where you'd get the new board for speed, more features, and things like that.. but really, this is the best board I've been to as far as the design goes, from color schemes to smilies. The default invision ones (like what you were showing) are one of the worst I have used. They don't really show the expressions that are commonly shown in a board like this. The current ones, however, are awesome (though and aren't used much) Please, Al, It's not broken, and I don't think it needs to be fixed Maybe you could start a poll to see if a change would even be a good idea, just to get a general idea about how people feel about it. spongebue
  6. pfft, it's nothing. All I do is press the thing a few times, then copy and paste a while. It made me famous on another board: http://benheck.com/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/vie...er=asc&start=39 it has been referred to as "the fight post" and has even been mentioned in the last month, I believe.
  7. So, how many 's is it going to take to get on the front page? This many:
  8. in response to Stan's petition, 123456
  9. Trust me, so do I! ..Al Well, while you're apparently checking this thread.... *innocent whistle*
  10. I knew this would come less than a week after it happened, kinda like "where's my edit button" which reminds me... I want that button back
  11. it's a cross between a GP32, a Dreamcast, and a PDA it has the emulation capabilities of a GP32, commercial game quality of a Dreamcast, and the organization capabilities of a PDA. In fact, it even runs the Palm OS, I'm pretty sure.
  12. I believe older macs had a plug similar to game ports. It was still VGA, but with a different plug.
  13. well, I came in direct face-to-screen contact with one of those things at Micro Center. Wow. It is very nice. I wouldn't mind having one, but I'd have no place to put it, not to mention all the money needed.
  14. looks like he doesn't have the best feedback, either. I should email him asking about this tomorrow, though I'll probably forget. Anyone else wanna ask him?
  15. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5158532387&rd=1 http://www.apple-history.com/frames/body.p...ry&model=5300cs HAS OSX OPERATING SYSTEM AND WORKS GREAT
  16. what was the total, if it's not too intrusive to ask?
  17. Yeah, when I look at the 20" tv and the 17" LCD I have in my room I have a hard time thinking of an LCD like mine bigger than my tv
  18. geeze, that's nuts it's the dual 30" LCD's that get you, though. That would be hard to get the space for.
  19. I haven't had a C64 (like I mentioned) but Super Cycle is one of my favorites on this thing... surprised it wasn't mentioned other than in Cybergoth's copy of what was at Lemon 64. Anyway, I'll agree that the build quality on these aren't the greatest, but it's not terrible. My major complaint is that the stick goes to the left or right too easily when you hold up.
  20. are your batteries fresh? They act pretty flaky if you put in old batteries.

  22. Not only is it the real thing, but it was designed so that you could take it apart and hook up a keyboard and disk drive. I know, that's half the reason I got it you can't use a standard computer floppy, can you? I'm guessing you need a commodore one, but I dunno.
