Deleting and re-installing Stella fixed it.

I will go back through the documentation but I think remapping is a global setting for all Stella games. The other games work as it is now.

Does your yellow plane appear a the bottom?

 

Maybe you just have to press the tab key and configure the inputs.

 

Yes Thomas, the yellow plane appears after pressing F2 but the arrow keys do not work. I have looked at configuring inputs but have not figured found out what exactly to do.

After pressing the default reset key (F2) the screen should scroll to the start and the arrow keys once pressed should move your plane and start the game for River Raid.

I now know I'm doing it correctly. The problem is that after using F2 and the screen scrolls to the start - the arrow keys do not have any effect.

Hi

 

I apologize if I am in the wrong forum. I just discovered that I can play Atari 2600 games in this manner. I am using a Window XP computer and Stella to run some of the games I played when I was younger. I do not have a USB joystick so I am using the windows keyboard. I have been able to start play on the games I have tried so far with the exception of River Run. I can press F2 to reset it but I cannot get it to start after that. Is there something that needs to be mapped or am I pressing the wrong key?

 

Also - this is fun. I probably want to look into a joystick. Can someone make a recommendation? I think I still have my 2600 and games in a box in my garage. One day I'll find it (I hope) but the garage is a mess so who knows.
