  1. Thanks to @JAC! here is v1.12 image that works on TheCart! Memory usage of the game is not good for TheCart! system as I use memory that overlaps loading routines. No problem if the disc image is SD or MD/ED, but DD does not work. This special "disk image" is not aimed to use on original disk drive, but it works fine with TheCart! menu. If you have another MultiCart and v.112 does not work there, try this image. It might help. golucky_1.12_TheCart.zip Another way to make a working version: cut off some levels out of the disk to create a MD/ED image. Make another one and cut off the levels from the first disk so that you have 2 disks with game files and some levels on both disks. And no, this is not a new game version, just a way to be able to run the whole image on TheCart! like it is possible with "ASC 2020" version. Maybe one day, I will have a greater update ready with new game features.
  2. Another one that may fit into this category of game:
  3. I totally understand this move, but sad enough, the tools always have nearly no chance competing to games. Users tend to use tools on modern platforms more often now. The Atari gets more and more into a system, to play with. That's what it seems to be.
  4. Thanks to all who made such great entries. For me everyone is a winner, who finished an entry. @freetz would be a pitty, if there where no tools, anymore. But it was a bad decision imho, when tools and games was put together in same contest. @matosimi DotA, for me, should be rated higher. But there are many top entries this time. I had voted more than once with a 10. I understand it like that: things that you most likely use/play many times again are getting 10 points, less points, when it won't be that often.
  5. Stay tuned. @holgibo currently is driving home from a little vacation (info from ABBUC e.V. forum). When he's back home, the results will be posted.
  6. @matosimi: I really like this game concept. Hope to get better soon, to solve more levels 🙃
  7. @amarok: Even if I have not finished the game, I wnat to say some words about my impression. I really like the concept of this plattformer. Turning time around is a really nice option to play with. All the levels are well created and difficulty seems to be correct. I was able to get thru some levels really easy, but there are some levels, that are not so easy. Graphics, animations and sound combines together to a very well atmosphere. In short words: Well done! Thank you very much for this high grade game for our little machine.
  8. Yeah, this idea might work. But I am not sure how to separate just the datas of this channel, the sfx is using. That's the reason, I borrowed the existing sfx for MyTris.
  9. @popmilo double game is realy cool. My best score is 76700 so far as can be seen @abbuc forum
  10. Next ABBUC magazine is on the way to you, so here can you find the intro. pouet.net demozoo.org Hope you like this little intro and my handmade convert of the new ABBUC logo. And please, please take some time and create some small thing for our next issue - we want to have it packed full just with things all the ABBUC members created.
  11. Maybe you're watching a PAL demo on a NTSC system. Red can turn into blue then.
  12. There is a atr plugin for total commander, too. madteam.atari8.info is the source, to get it.
  13. Ah, never thought so far... Seems I have to try out something with this (new to me) knowledge 😏
  14. Actually you can have up to 30 lines (at least PAL machines can show them on screen, NTSC differs by used monitor a lot more) each with a different charset loaded. So 30kB just for the fonts is needed then. Machine should handle this perfect.
  15. Yes this can work. But your tiles have to be within one screen as you can just save, what is visible. So 192x240 is most possible resolution to create for 5 colors gfx. You can define this behavior by using the jgp+ option.
  16. Ah, that's why the stars are moving so smooth without any noticeable drawing delays. Anyway, very nice!
  17. While we are still waiting for contest results, you can watch Buddy's and mine entries here:
  18. Seems, that it's time, that you create a full demo for our little A8. You achieved some very nice effects over time. If you need a musician, I can make contact to Buddy. Next sillyventure is about to start in a few months.
  19. Plus some stuff to watch, listen and relax... 3 times 256er and another 3 intros.
  20. Today latest issue of ABBUC magazine arrived. So it's time to present the intro to the public, esp. for those people who have still to wait for arrival. Get it @pouet or head over to demozoo.
  21. Maybe one could add the additional color by clever usage of PM gfx behind the tiles. But could become a bit flickery (just the PM underlay) to handle the whole width of screen then.
  22. Oh, yes Mig Alley Ace for sure. Battled a lot bitd.
  23. I remember of having battles with my friends playing Tigris bitd: http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-tigris_5376.html You are allowed to battle in AnotherPong*, too 🙃: http://www.ppsberlin.de/ppsberlin/spiele/55-another-pong
  24. It would make sense, if the German law for "eingetragene Vereine" would be better. Taxes are very difficult then and thus most e.V. sell only to members, like ABBUC does.
