  1. Should have posted this a week and a half ago. Completely unsolicited, rjchamp sent me a brand new box straight from the source via Marc Oberhauser. Thanks very much, Rudy! And thanks to Marc as well for sending me a cool collectible in the form of a misprinted Halo 2600 box. Sweet!
  2. I don't think so, godzillajoe. When I hook it up the same way in my plasma, I get a lot of rolling and static popping noises, and not a clear picture, but there is sound. But, like I said, I'm not opposed to just buying a previously modded system straight out and using this one for either trade-in value, or sell it outright. (I have no desire to have more than one atari in the house... For now)
  3. I've tried several ways of hooking up my Vader to my modern TVs, and the best I can get is a beautiful picture with no sound out of my LCD thru the coax. I have no interest in buying a VCR and cluttering up the entertainment system, nor would my wife like that. So... It's time to upgrade. Can anyone direct me to the best place to have my Atari modded for composite sound and video? Or a place that I can trade for an already modded one and pay the difference. Thanks in advance!
  4. Quite a group coming out soon, besides the one that will come from Atari age, like those you mentioned, there's a couple outside releases too. Like "JumpVCS", "Brik", Desert bus 2600, etc...
  5. Guess you will just have to change the name to "Action 51". Unless they are owned by King and have the rights to the word "action"
  6. No love for Cave In, or Dungeon? I haven't played them, but their lack of notice in this thread makes me wonder if should snag them. I think Blinky Goes Up is fantastic, just really really short. Hopefully Jan Hermanns looks into as equal someday
  7. I think you might be mis-reading something. PAC-MAN- RED is a member of these forums and contributes to a lot of projects with his amazing sprite work. In fact, his avatar gives me hope that someday we might see a de-make of Kings Quest for the 2600. With some of the new size capabilities on the carts- it seems possible. (But I'm just a fan.. Not a programmer)
  8. Unfortunately I don't. Nor do I know anyone locally that I could so that with. It did produce sound on my main TV set- just was overpowered by the static interference
  9. Hmmm... I usually see way more responses to issues about hook king Ataris up. Perhaps this should be in a different forum on here?
  10. The newer tv with all the static interference at least had some sound if you turned it up quite a bit- but the static noise overpowered it
  11. Nothing on the back with an indication about NTSC or otherwise
  12. Not that I'm aware of, but I'll take a look. By now, the manuals are long gone- but info might be on the labeling on the back of the sets
  13. I was able to hook up my 2600 to one of my HDTVs with a coaxial/rf adapter and got a significant amount of static and scrolling. On my other- slightly older- HDTV I was able to get a beautiful clear picture, but no sound. Why no sound? Any suggestions?
  14. Bump. Very interested to know how this project is coming along, as well as the project that bumped it off to the side. If this game was looking as good as it was, I have pretty high hopes for the other project as well
  15. You might consider selling these in bulk to Albert, as he is looking for some commons to convert to new homebrews...
  16. Oddly enough, I got my Vader off craigslist for free.. Originally going to be 35 bucks, but the owner couldn't get it to work on her HDTV because "the plugs didn't seem to fit"... So she gave it to me for free thinking it was broken. So, there's that... Good luck
  17. Did you decide wether or not you will be doing a boxed version of this game? (As well as Brik)
  18. Apologies for my ignorance, but are there any threads I can look at to get a feel for your previous releases?
  19. Payment sent. Dethfactor! Sorry for referring to you as nanochess earlier in this thread. (Mixing up these upcoming games) Also.. My number guess is 409
  20. in the first post I think it is mentioned that this is the pre-order phase, which continues til the end of February, then try will start production- which will take about 4-6 weeks. I would start askin where your copy is somewhere around mid-late April at best
  21. @nanochess... Are you willing or needing to accept pre-orders to help defray initial production costs?
