To the OP. For me, when I feel over inundated with things I want to do, I take a few days and narrow the focus to those things that really mean something to me. Then later when I feel I have extra energy/resources to give, I spread it out a little. Nothing depressing about it. Its reality. We dont all have time for jobs, kids, wives, atari, name your console, name your car fandom, guitars or name your instrument, television, movies, books, blogging, exercise, etc. it would be nice if we did, but we just dont. Just a matter of properly focusing your time/energy into those things that mean the most or make you the happiest, the rest is just fluff.

Where Did You Get Your First Atari 2600 and What Type Was it?
Ripdubski replied to TheAtarianGuy's topic in Atari 2600
At some point in 1978 my parents got it. 6 switch Atari unit. Not sure what happened to it after I lost interest in it roughly 1984. Recently reacquired an Atari light sixer refurb with composite out mod from Best. The output is awesome and the unit looks brand new. Elated! -
I played the hell out of River Raid, so it should be. But Pitfall, Kaboom, Sky Jinks also saw serious playtime.

I guess im committed now. Just bought a couple of 7800 games. Now to find a system!

1. Getting rid of stuff as I moved on, then having to re-acquire. Who didnt do that? 2. When I was a kid I stayed home from school one day "sick" and playing 2600/800 all day, and looking through the computer mags. I had been eyeing Canyon Climber for some time, so I called the mail orde advertiser. I told them I wanted and asked how I could pay, think I was 11 or 12 at the time. They said COD would be OK. I didnt know what it was at the time and asked which the lady then explained. I told her go ahead and gave her my info. I had no idea how long it should take to receive. I waited and waited, it never came. Finally saved up enough to buy it at the local game store. I can only imagine the lady hanging up and having a good laugh. Blunder? IDK, but there was probably a better way to get it.

Having not played them, i thought they had half gfx half text. I booted a couple and they appeared to be text only. Is there a trick?

It pays to scroll down a few threads. I was just about to ask similar questions regarding the 7800 and this thread answered them. I'll go ahead an start scouting for a 7800. Its one of those systems that I always wanted since its debut, but never acquired. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the OP!

Mattell handhelds -> Atari VCS -> Atari 800 -> NES -> TG16 -> SNES -> Sega Saturn -> N64 -> nothing / Lynx 2 / GBC / GBA / PC -> PS2 -> XBox 360 I was really disenchanted with gaming during the Saturn through PS2 in my timeline, which pretty much went from 1993ish to 2010ish. 17ish years having no games that really pulled me in. Content Favorites: A8, SNES, XBox 360 Had the most fun with: SNES

I have a 520ST, SF354, and. SX212. I have 0 (zero) program disks. Is there any wy to get a program to it so it can be written to disk? Im thinking i need a terminal program to start with at the very least. I was thinking about an SD interface but not ready yet. Some way to write to the 360K floppy? Connect the drive mech up to PC even it would even work? Just out of luck for now? Any help wouold be appreciated.
