  1. I've always found Rampage to be a load of fun with more than one player. I also like Rampart in conlynx.
  2. hmmm weird. I really love Kung Food I guess that makes me weird. Of course the game does have nostalgia for me. It was my first game. I played the heck out of it. And let's face it. At least its more fun to play than Batman... ugggh... MY worst though has got to be tournament cyberball.... just not playable for me. (of course i never claimed to be a good sports gamer)

    Lynx up

Sure, can! I've played many hours of Rampart and Rampage with my brother. I have a lynx2 and he has a Lynx 1. Worked just fine for all the games we tried.
  4. lol This gag is still running around? I mean really... Its been done. Try a new April fools Although, it would be neat to have for real.
  5. Yes, indeed. the Mk1 pouch is bigger. I've had my Lynx 2 in it for 12 years and its worked nicely. You can store some earphones or comlynx cables in the top and save space in the front pouches for more games. I guess the Lynx may slide a little within the pouch if you tilt it back and forth, but I never found this to be a problem. (I always held mine upright)The Mk2 pouches almost seem too snug for the Lynx 2 in my honest opinion. So yeah, if you have a choice go with the MK1.
  6. Wow, very exciting stuff. I still have a c64 and love the games on it. Makes me wish I had the know how and the time to be a programmer. All the great adventure games like Maniac Mansion and Zak McKraken could be all mine and portable on my lynx.... The only thing is getting a save function, which as I understand can add to the cost of developing a cart. Ah well, we can always dream. IF anyone out there is working on porting/rewriting these old games to Lynx, I applaud you and would buy them in a heartbeat.
  7. wow... that is just crazy. I bought it brand new back in 91 for maybe $30.00. There has to be someone messing with the bids. I hate those type of bidders. You just know that they won't pay. I just hope someones not being duped into thinking the game is really rare
  8. which pattern were you using? I think that can make a difference on how quickly you can lose. It seems like some of the patterns I get stuck on earlier than others. I do worst on the dragon one usually.
  9. Cool, Thanks. I'll be sure to bookmark that site. Lots of stuff there. Of course the US dollar is so weak that it would cost me quite a bit... ah well. Such is the life of a US lynxer with only protos and homebrews left to buy to complete my collection.
  10. Atari Lynx Reloaded???? How did I never hear about this? What is it and where did you happen to get it? Most importantly... how would I get a copy?
  11. Hi there, Last I'd heard, its been postponed a bit. At least a year from now, possibly more. If you haven't checked out the Songbird site, you should. They do great stuff there to get games finished and out there for the lynx community. I'm with you on this game, I would really like to see it finished soon, but as the saying goes... good things come to those who wait. I'm sure it will be well worth it when it arrives.
  12. Maybe once songbird puts out their version I'll pick it up. I played it on handy but not enough to get addicted yet.
  13. I'd have to say my fav comlynxed game is Rampage. It can go up to 4 people (only had three so far, and that was plenty for me!) It can get very chaotic as the buildings go down much faster when several monsters are bashing stuff up. Not very thought provoking, but if mindless mayhem is your thing, or competing for high scores then this is a game for you. Oh yeah and you can completely ignore the game and just try to beat the snot out of your fellow players. Always a fun diversion.
  14. I'll agree about Raiden. I have the SNES version (raiden trad) and this translation is much more difficult, but the graphics are really top notch for lynx. very nearly as good as my snes version. lack of soundtrack is a little annoying, but otherwise its a wonderful game. Oh yeah, its been said before, but get the first powerup at any cost. even if you have to die once. It makes the rest of the game sooo much easier. oh and you have to get used to holding the lynx vertically, or learn to play raiden as a side scroller
  15. Well, I guess I'm weird too because I have a box and instructions for every game I own except for 4 (which were given to me from a friend whose lynx broke) Which means something like 60-65 complete games. Its been a while since I've counted. It certainly takes up a lot of space though. I have 2 boxes full of games. I can see why just collecting the carts is preferable to most people.
