I would consider the extra chips in a cart to be like the Nintendo mappers and special chips added to SNES games like the FX chip. I would welcome new games that extend this interesting console.
Let's start with multi-rom cart!
It shouldn't heard to manifacture right? (I have no clue)

Sorry this entirely eludes me...Paging Dr. Stupus...

So I'm very happy because I finally managed to acquire a Super Cassette Vision!
European yeno version, vith SCART video cable by default!
With 3 games, no less:
astro wars
battle in galaxy
elevator fight.
As a neophite I'm enthusiastic about it. I wish it had a bit more of luck in its days, but nintendo's famicom apparently blew it away in 1984...
Look at those bright colors; lots of sprites; nice design... too bad had only 33 games...
It definitely deserves more love nowadays, like a "multi-rom cart" - hey! even the Arcadia 2001 has one!!!
:)I wish I had th technical skill to produce one - but I think there could be market for one ?!?
Anyway here's some pics:
Cheers from happy me.

Thank you all.
Your inputs are precious to me.
I think I'll try to make the seller come down a little.... or just let it go.

I have the chance -maybe less than 50 euros/dollars/pounds- to acquire one sony pvm crt monitor 20n5e, just for playing.
Does anyboy have experience plugging a old console to this model? is it worth it?
I do guess I'll need special cables for it to start with.
Thank you

Thanks for your reply, it's much appreciated.
I found it fishy too... Nobody knows anything and the maker makes no publicity about it ...
I contacted him and he says that he"has sold them all..." except for the last one which he would sell to me for 100 euros...

Surfing the web i found this:

It's peculiar that nobody knows anything about it...
It seems interesting but...i find it strange there are no news about it...

I think its actually Abyss from Vecmania rather than Chris Tumber's Tsunami.
The Multicart i'm referring to is the 72 game multicart v.1, inserted with the vectrex on and the reset button pressed....
I dind't know about it, and was a very fun find!
I usually never find "secrets" in these kind of things.
Too bad it seems never-ending and without score....
-
tsunami!!! that's the word!!!
thanks roli.
Actually i find out that inserting the vectrex multi cart keeping the reset button pressed starts tsunami

...but without score...

Planet of Vampires, saw it when age 8 and it scared the shit out of me, never could take out from my mind the final scene of the movie. Almost 20 years!
And now I've read this movie practically inspired Alien. So I saw the masterpiece too young
!BTW this trailer doesn't look cool.

Prometheus-style trailer.
wow planet of the vampires aka "terrore nello spazio" mario bava as director... a sci-fi flick cult of mine

Vectrex screen takes 5 minutes to come up
in Vectrex
Posted
I alway find tutorials about the "dot" appearing on the screen or how to calibrate the video... but for the life of me I cannot find one where they address the issue of a slow warm up.
At start I can hear the music and sound but the sreen stays black, then after 5 minutes or so it plays just fine...
I come up thinking of spraying some WD 40 into the power-volume knob... do you think it will work?
Thanks a lot in advance knowledgable people of the Vectrex
