  1. Good news, I'm back in business. I ended up finding the spare motherboard and cleaned, switched some things around. I do have an Inty II on the way that I paid $30 for, I hope it works good. For now, the SVA Frankenstein console is a-go, time to play some Princess Quest! :)

I'd still like to figure out whats wrong with the other board though, if anybody has any ideas, please let me know. :)

  2. Nice set of games you got there as well.

    Thanks!

anyway I found out removing the upper part of the console that the harmony cart would fit indeed.

So the problem is that the bezel and the entrance of the cart are slightly disaligned (maybe a millimeter or so).

this issue prevent the more thick plastic (?) of the harmony cart to slide in....

  3. Hi everybody. Today I bought this Atari console with games:

I post it here because I have a Question:

is this revision board something to be cherished? rev. 1 1977 . To me is nothing short of amazing! And It does work! It has the holes for the speaker also but alas no heavy sixer.

BUT anyway.... I have a trouble also: inserting the harmony cartridge: I mean I've tried lots of cartridges and all work fine, but the harmony does not fit in!!!

I think this is something experienced before by some other member of the forum... but still is strange.

So I just wanted to share this here.

    Thanks for your time.

EDIT: almost forgot: the joysticks have this unusual (for me at least) end cable:

    Any insight on this? thanks!

  4.

Wrap aluminum foil around it 100% and ground it to the ground plane on the board. It might help some. Or replace it. Assuming that's the problem and it really isn't shielded.

I would 1st try a replacement that is properly shielded and see what happens.

:) I would open an intellivision just to clean it, but it's way beyond me to try to "replace" or "fix" something...

I could try "shielding" it anyway :)

....And it came with one (1) poker&blackjack inlay :) :)

  5. My guess would be that the RF jack broke loose and the owner soldered a short replacement cable with a female jack onto the board to replace it. Same thing with the reset button. Both are probably more durable than the original parts.

I like that the European model Intellivision's power switch says Stand-by instead of Off. The only time it's truly off is when you pull the plug!

Thanks! Good guess... I'd had never thought of that....Somewhat I always suppose mods are always "adding" something, and are never made to repair....

The unshielded extension cable is probably picking up a lot of noise..

Thank you. This could be. Any ideas how can I shield that piece of wire? Because apart of that the unit looks pretty good...

  6. I found this inty in a flea market. I bought for the strange wire coming out of it.

I thought it was some sort of "video upgrade" like vga out or something....

But actually is just an antenna cable extender...

Why? what do you think of it?

By the way the image is terrible, with lots of "jailbars" in it....but otherwise works well, the controllers are ok.

coi mezzi moderni a qualcuno del mestiere dovrebbe riuscire molto semplice...o no?!?
