  1. https://www.ebay.com/itm/123846573798 I sold my collection a while back but this one along with a few others were found in a random box. Any takers? I know Jag CD stuff is becoming harder and harder to find.
  2. My buddy Joel and I got a tip on a recent Jaguar CD trade-in, so we decided to film the entire thing. https://youtu.be/d8IoSQngIYc Joel has been in pursuit of a working boxed Jag CD for a long time and it was awesome to see him finally get one. Hope you enjoy the video!
  3. Hey guys! Some of you are aware of the series I produce, "My Retro Life", which uses old home movie clips of my collecting days in the 90s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_U7M4hnrlA4 Well, the latest episode (link above) in the series is all on the TurboGrafx, and more specifically, tells the story of how I came to own and collect for my TurboDuo in 1995. It is with great joy that I get to share these memories with you, the hardcore Turbo fans. Hope you enjoy!
  4. Hey guys! This is my first stab at reviewing an Intellivision game. Been doing this for years now but for some reason I never tackled a game on the system. In celebration of the season, It's on Dracula by IMAGIC. DRACULA for Intellivision | A Horror Classic by IMAGIC - iretrogamer Would love to know your thoughts on this game and the review. Appreciate it guys. - Tyler
  5. Hey guys, I wanted to share with you the most recent episode in my series "My Retro Life". During a summer vacation to Disney in 1994, my family visited the SEGA Innoventions exhibit at Epcot. It was an experience I'll never forget. Seeing all the incredible Sega kiosks and decor, getting to play brand new games that had yet to be released, prototypes... it was like a visit to E3 only it was a open to the public. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XihzO5TGOOw There is hardly any footage of the attraction available online. I'm lucky that my Dad took as much footage as he did. It makes for a great watch for any SEGA fan or video game enthusiast. Hope you enjoy it. Do you have any memories of Sega at Innoventions? Please leave a comment. I'd love to hear more.
  6. Thanks guys! I really do appreciate the kind words and feedback. Very special video for me.
  7. Hey thanks for posting my video! I didn't realize it was posted and I put it up in a new thread. Sorry about that mods!
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AS-S6HsT-pY Hey guys! The above video is part of my "My Retro Life" series which chronicles the gaming days of my youth. Lots of old home movie footage, including this very special "collection" video Dad and I made in 1994 featuring every Jaguar game we owned up to that point. If you're familiar with the series, you know my Dad was diehard game fan back in those days, and the Jaguar was arguably his favorite console of all time. As always, the video is dedicated to him in loving memory. Thank you for letting me share so more Atari fans can get a chance to see it!
  9. You saying it was "elusive" made me look it up and WOW I had no idea it was a rare adapter. Pretty cool! So many years it was used.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TtSEIPwv0Q Hey guys! Wanted to share the latest video in my series "My Retro Life". This one is mostly taken from footage at my 6th birthday party at McDonald's. It tells the story of how my Dad would often import Super Nintendo games from Japan before they hit store shelves in the US. Hope you enjoy it. - Tyler
  11. In celebration of this creepy and kooky time of year, we decided to take a look at Fester's Quest on NES and Midnight Mutants (Starring Grandpa!) on Atari 7800. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98cRLHua8II Would love to hear your thoughts. Love both of these games and have cherished memories with both. Thanks guys.
  12. Thanks for all the feedback and discussion guys. Should be doing a "Jaguar" themed episode in the not-too-distant future!
  13. Hey guys, Wanted to share with you the latest episode of MY RETRO LIFE - A series that is made from home movie moments of my childhood playing video games. This one is all about collecting Atari 2600 games with my Dad in the early 90's. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8f_TD_nfqs I know that I don't post often enough as a contributing member, and that it's mostly retro gaming videos that I make, but I hope that you can take a moment to maybe enjoy this video thats very special to me. All the best! - Tyler
  14. Haha yes I get that a lot. Thanks for watching. Been at it with our channel for three years now. It's a lot of work but I do love doing it and it gives me an excuse to sit down and play the games we discuss (to capture the footage of course). Next one we're doing is SEGA themed and covers Vic Tokai's games Kid Kool, Psycho Fox, and Decap Attack which all belong to the same family of side-scrolling inertia based platformers.
  15. Nice info you found. Kind of supports the "Slapped on a Star Fox character last minute" theory. Sorry I don't contribute enough as a regular user. Honestly, I spend too much time making retro gaming videos to spend an adequate amount of time being a regular member on a message board. Got to spend some time with the wife and baby man. On a side note - Nintendo Life thought the video interesting enough to write about it - so that's cool. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/09/video_remembering_trevor_mcfur_ataris_not_entirely_convincing_answer_to_star_fox Certainly has made for interesting discussion on the web and Youtube. I'm glad we did the video, even though it has been a little polarizing.
  16. Racerx stated exactly what was the motivation we had to do this video. It aoways felt like to us that the character of Trevor McFur and storyline to the game was a direct grab at some of that success Nintendo saw with Star Fox. Just really stating how we feel, trying to be very genuine. I love the Jaguar, but Trevor McFur shocked me by how bad it was. Star Fox, which I'm certain they were trying to copy (at least in story and character) is a million times better. No argument there.
  17. Longtime member of the retro community here. Just looking to spread some love for the hobby. I don't make squat and it's a lot of hard work and passion that goes into what I do. I must say that video games go into production well before their release (sort of like movies... ARMAGEDDON & DEEP IMPACT I'm looking at you!). I think it's easy to assume that Atari at the very least knew of Star Fox when Trevor McFur went into production. I can't think of another game in history starring a carnivorous animal in sci-fi space shooter.
  18. Hey guys, We just released a new video that I feel is quite a fun discussion piece about Nintendo and Atari. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfjeQfIyZ0o Would love for you to take a look. In the video we discuss how in November of 1993, Trevor McFur felt a lot like an attempt to cash in on the Star Fox theme and branding. Tell us what you think and please subscribe if you haven't. We've made the show weekly now, so lots of content to follow. Thanks!
  19. In 1997 my Dad (whom I collected with) didn't think about it. He thought he was protecting the disc by putting it in a protective case with the artwork inserted into the sleeve.
  20. Hey guys. This is the very last item I am selling from my NUON collection. After this it's ALL GONE! http://www.ebay.com/itm/122086146859 It's a brand new sealed Tempest 3000. As you can see, my Dad and I originally purchased this from Best Buy in 2000. It's one of the later run NUON discs as it's in a "black" DVD case as opposed to the standard Gold case. I would imagine there are not many more of these brand new out there. If you are interested or know anyone interested, please share the link. Thank you!
  21. I've owned this since it was released. Original box was cut and stored in protective case for years. http://www.ebay.com/itm/122079610760 Hope it goes to a Jaguar CD collector who will appreciate it more!
  22. Just listed this guys. http://www.ebay.com/itm/122081960148 This is the RARE US version of Strider on the Master System. One if the last games released on the system here in the States. The only way collectors can know for sure that they have the US version is by the North American UPC sticker found on the back of the box- AND THIS ONE HAS IT! Cartridge and box in great condition. Sticker is slightly damaged. Probably was attempted to be removed at one time. Missing instructions.
  23. I may regret selling this... but I own three other games in the series and I'm willing to part with this one. Cotton Boomerang (Sega Saturn, 1998) US SELLER Complete w... If you know anyone who might be interested, please let them now. Thanks!
  24. Hey guys! I posted here recently when I was selling my Nuon collection. Turns out, I DO have The Next Tetris! Found it while going through more games in my collection. http://www.ebay.com/itm/122076924153 - THE NEXT TETRIS http://www.ebay.com/itm/122076881143- TEMPEST 3000 I've listed it along with a Tempest 3000 I still had. If you interested check it out!
