Today i tried several amplifiers and filters and finally it seems all these approaches are waste of time. If i simple add one resistor and bypass the amplifier completely it is at same quality. So why all this efforts most likely copied from other consoles if it works with a part about 1cent worth? As a result noise still exists as it is part of the mainboard design. So finally patching the mainboard circuit is the key getting a similar rgb picture. It seems one of the parts on the mainboard injects the noise. I will try to locate them.

Real Stereo/Surround for Atari/Coleco/Intellivision Consoles on PAL/NTSC
retromod replied to retromod's topic in Atari 2600
Have a look to the retrovideogamer.co.uk website there are pics.Else there were some auctions within ebay. E.g. http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/meo18q1xY86lX_HGcyqQs-w.jpg The stormtrooper and droid edition is currently in production and hopefully available soon by local retailers. Most of them are already ordered by collectors so i will bet they are sold out as quick as the other edition. As i gave order not to sell to specific people and countries it may be hard to get one anyway. 25 devices in first run, a total of 50. -
Real Stereo/Surround for Atari/Coleco/Intellivision Consoles on PAL/NTSC

Thats why you have a switch on the back to disable it. If you do not like them stay at mono. All models including the 2600jr white, red, black edition and also the stormtrooper series will have them, too. -
No that is the wrong assumption. Problem is nobody of the smaller companies and freelancer cared during regulation invention so all the big ones decided to add and modify this regulation law to protect their business. Many freelancer shutted down their business or simple drliver only assemblies as all the hobbiest magazines are now doing. If you deliver business to business the one selling to customer is responsible to register and ensure compliance. In europe it is not possible anymore creating or invent small number of devices. Watch the websites offering those devices, if they understood the message they try to avoid the regulation by choosing the right way of releasing. If not you may risk all. 50.000 is fairly high fee. And also some kickstarter projects never reached european customers due to non compliance with regulation. Adding a brand to a device means in term of the weee regulation for example to create a new product requiring registration. If you do not do that and ensure all parts are previously registered at weee org you are able to avoid that. Today it is not enough to be talented to built hardware you need good lawyers as well to ensure your business is not at risk.

No the fee is correct. Remember this regulation was invented by big companies to prevent smaller company do their business. A lot of freelancer shutdown their business after official announcement. So if you sell within europe you must register for weee (dump regulation) and ensure your parts are rohs compliant. Thats the law. Currently is an ongoing discussion to only allow certified companies to release products. I f you spread something you must be compliant. Sure nobody will hit you if you have luck but what if after a half year someone knocks on door? You have one year to register to weee after spreading your products. So if you have a product to release consult your lawyer first. The money spent may be higher than development cost of the hardware but saves a lot of money or simple stop it at all. I ve been in discussion with curt for example about a new atari computer and after concrete plans how to implement it my lawyer told me we can not do that due to planned unit numbers so price must be duplicated (target was 200 eur). Project cancelled, same for external 80 character card, external surround sound modul etc.

If the defamation stops the bitch, asshole and all these "we respect others according to our rules but discuss as little childs using these word from anonymous point of view" i would agree, but my feeling is it will not stop and the real reason is interruption of business. From my point of view it is quite legal to ask if something is too expensive or not, i was not aware that this forum is for business purpose only. i only look for information and of course help if required as i have done for nearly over 10.000 requests in more than 10 years for other communities (mainly windows, high end unix and internet technology). But i will not stress as it only forces these 4 letter words and true character of some users. Thanks for open words.

Real Stereo/Surround for Atari/Coleco/Intellivision Consoles on PAL/NTSC
retromod replied to retromod's topic in Atari 2600
Well after people saw how a wheel works all complain how easy it is.... But why have nobody done it before? According to the atari genius community there where many approaches which failed or where simple too expensive.... -
Rude tone. Wow specialy these words provide bad attitude for you. If i as a modder deliver something then RoHS is important. If you mod yourself then not until you deliver them to others. Big difference. I feel invited to check all european extensions and business relations here for compliance. I ll bet a lot will shutdown business immediatly.. Like some do after sending friendly hint if this is your intension let me know....

Zoe SCART/RGB video upgrade for Intellivision
retromod replied to Lathe26's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Because it has big differences in color, eg red score on top white screen in background. This stresses the av mods. In space battle for example you have a yellow surrounding of the playfield, a lot of av mods looses sync in the condition more bright objects appears on the screen. So you play and within seconds or minutes you have a black screen as tv set lost sync signal due to av mod overload. So i test always against different games to ensure all is working fine. -

Zoe SCART/RGB video upgrade for Intellivision
retromod replied to Lathe26's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
It is a funny game even my daughter loves it but is stresses the video hardware due to its highlighted playfield. Perfect testing av mods As rgb consist of color signal which is not the reason for the video noise my intension is to know if this mod suffer from same weak signal quality in stress conditions or not. -
You expect any serious answer after your kicking? Seriously. Go ahead make my day!
-
Hey you are the only one since nearly one hour not kicking. Thanks for that. If someone is interested in something he will find it trust me. But if you must move someone, prepare all then he is not really interested.

Ok if you enter "atari 2600jr white" in google the second hit show one, despite many others. Can not believe it but now it is clear what went wrong... Lol @oldgameschoolblabla: do you order the flowers for your post or should i - lol. You are here because nobody cares about you in real world, my asumption if you believe what you wrote. And no atariage is not the middle of earth.... And not THE site for collectors as i ve heared. Now i know why.
