My accumulated haul was an NES Power Pad, 1 NES game, 3 Sega Master System games with boxes, instructions and posters, an NES/Sega cleaning kit, a TurboGrafx game, a Pokemon Gold and Silver Strategy Guide/Walkthrough book and a working Sega Genesis with 2 controllers and all cables for a total of $23. Most of this I bought for trading so if anyone is interested, PM me! By the way, how many classic gaming systems does a person need? I bought several systems "to resell" but found that I can't detach myself from them as I keep saying that I need to compare the same game on different platforms......anyone else out there with this problem?

I agree with those who say keep both, just in case. (This is coming from a person diagnosed with Packratus Majoris so consider yourself warned.....) The only carts I have had a problem with were Activision Decathalon and Dolphin.

PM me.....I've bought/sold/traded with others on here along with e-bay so if you want references, let me know!
Thanks,

Let's see..... Mousse in the hair' date=' white shirt (polo) with the collar up and a nice pair of ballon pants(preferably black or red). The pants should have as many pockets, zippers, hooks, and metal do-dahs as possible. As for foot wear, I'd go with a pair of penny loafers or a nice pair of K-Swiss (I still wear these. Great shoes!!). Play some Beastie Boys, Michael Jackso's Thriller and some Foot Loose.P.S. I forgot a dab of Drakkar for the laddies
[/quote']Okay, I've stopped laughing enough to type......you must have known one of my boyfriends because you described him to a "T"!
-
Don't forget a jacket with obnoxious buttons all over it or something in neon (shoelaces would be good).

I would have to say almost any of the Activision cartridges. The sports ones aren't the best but they're still good. The others are wonderful! I'm currently hooked on Beamrider......
-
I hope everything works out for you with those 7800 carts. I bid early on but was a bit scared to go too high with the $10 shipping and the low feedback (93.8% in 57 feedbacks). Most would have been duplicates for me as well so there was little incentive to go too high....I'm always scared with low feedback because I figure that for every negative filed, at least 2 others didn't file for fear of retaliation. I'll have to say that most of the sellers that I have dealt with have been great, however!
Enjoy the new toys

Oh no, not Pooyam! Isn't that an event that usually follows Thanksgiving dinner.....

-
I just picked up some stuff and in it was a Yars' Revenge, The Quartile Ultimatum Comic book and 2 mint Swordquest Posters, Earthworld and Fireworld. The posters look like they came in a cart box because they are folded to that size and must have been part of a contest because the bottom was made to be torn off and mailed in. Any idea of what these would be worth in cash or trade? I'm not attached to them and would be more interested in carts or cash for carts......

-
Thanks, it came with an adapter and a bunch of stuff that didn't belong but it was a 2600 adapter so I plugged it in and nada. I then plugged it in with my "known to be working" 2600 adapter and voila, the little critter works.
Thanks!

What power supply does the Atari Jr use? I just got one and want to make sure that I don't accidentally fry it. Is there anywhere on this site that gives info like this (tech specs or something like them) because if so, I haven't found it..........
Thanks!
-
The reserve wasn't met but the seller e-mailed me to see if I was interested in them for that price. We'll see what happens.....

I am supposed to be getting 2 4-port 5200s that aren't working. Would anyone be willing to do a repair 1 and keep 1 as payment deal? If you fix them and aren't interested in the trade deal, let me know what you would charge for the repair.
Thanks!

Oops, this was supposed to be a reply to this post Re: Just listed 425 items on eBay!

Hey all, its me, Brent from The Nerb's Game Source. Just wanted to let you all know that I just listed loads of games and have 425 listings in my eBay store now, and all of them classic gaming! If you mention Atari Age after you make your purchase I will give you 15% off the item price!!! You can check out my store at:
http://www.stores.ebay.com/thenerbsgamesource
Thanks. Just thought I would give you Atari loyalists a discount!

I'll have to say, I like the cleaning kit he's selling!

I guess it all boils down to doing what you enjoy. I pick up games here and there on e-bay and do a bit of hunting as well. Most of the hunting is fruitless but like others have said, there is a certain thrill to finding stuff. I look at it as we all have things that we want to spend our "fun money" on. Granted some have more than others but the way that you spend it is your choice. Some people love to go to bars and will easily spend $50 on a weekend night on cover charges and drinks, some people buy $35 in lottery tickets a week and some people will spend $30 for a night at the movies. I, personally, get a significant amount of entertainment from adding yet another Activision cartridge to my collection. In truth, I do enjoy playing them as well but the acquisition is actually the most enjoyable part. (I'm probably just trying to justify the collection to myself with that statement as I actually don't have a lot of time to play with them right now....) I have also been making myself sell things that have been just sitting around so as to have more cash to play with. It's all about finding things in life that make you happy and being willing to pursue them. Okay, enough philosophy and never forget, plenty of people put their e-bay purchases on credit cards!

-
I was figuring about $15 for shipping. It just seems that any working ones that I'm seeing on e-bay are going for 30+20 for shipping....I've worked out deals in the past with people where I shipped them 2 broken units and they fixed one up for me and kept the other as payment and we were both happy. I don't know, maybe it isn't a good idea..........
-
Thanks guys!!! I appreciate the help. When they arrive, I might have a few more questions....
-

If you were stuck on an island and only had one game to play, what would it be?
I'm asking because I will finally have a precious few hours this evening to play games. Between football and work, I have no time to play with the collection that I am amassing and don't want to waste my time playing loser games like "insert bad game here". (For those of you who didn't read my post on my nomination for "worst game ever"...my choice was actually a well-liked game by some so I'll avoid offending anyone and let you fill in your own choice.)
Help me out here!!!!

I just have to chime in also in defense of Outlaw. Sure, graphically it's... well, the definition of "crude." But it is a great brainless 2-player game in the spirit of the best of the early years of the 2600.There are lots of games that are WAY worse than Outlaw, even those with much better graphics. Get a good 2-player game of Outlaw going and you'll see proof that gameplay is more important than good graphics any day.
(Besides, how dare you spit on the work of The Master Himself? Even Slot Machine, truly a wretched piece of crap, gets points simply for being the work of Mr. Crane.
)Okay, I've figured out the problem. I play most of my games alone (a little sympathy here....just kidding) and Outlaw is obviously a good 2-PERSON game. I'll try to get out and make some friends......

-
Good lord, based on the comments here, I am going to be forced to spend some time playing and re-evaluating Outlaw. I'll just use the time that I had alloted for playing Swordquest...........

Epyx 500 joysticks
in Atari 2600
Posted
I just got a lot of stuff in and there were 2 of the Epyx 500 joysticks in with it. They are the most comfortable that I've found in that it takes longer before my hand cramps, however,........do they HAVE to make that clicky noise? I didn't know if it was just something inherent in these guys or if there was a fix for it.....
Thanks,
Laura
