  1. Where do you go from here? :?

have you tried making some trades/or buying on Atariage in the marketplace? post your wantlist and items you have, you might be able to make a few trades. 8)

    Take care and good luck!

    Rick

I agree, try the Marketplace. I have tons of carts and always reply to someone that posts a WTB in the Marketplace if I have the cart. I don't know about most people but I'll gladly sell any R3 or less on my trade list and some others if asked. It never hurts to ask...the worst that will happen is that someone won't reply. :)

  2. *chuckles*

Live, learn and share the knowledge, I say.

And oh, be able to laugh at yourself enough to post "I'm a dumbass" in so many words on a message board full of intelligent people. 8)

  3. Okay, by now, I have opened up (as in dissected) a number of consoles, trak balls, etc. and have found my requisite share of dust bunnies, dirt, dead bugs, pieces of candy wrappers, you name it. I opened up an INTV the other night and what, of all things, did I find.....PUBES. We're not talking one of the little curly guys, we're talking about six or so. I don't know about you but I always assumed these things were dusty because they had been stored in the basement, attic or garage but I ask you, do people have a high pube count in these places because I truly don't think my attic or garage has enough pubes to work their way into an INTV that was by chance stored there.....maybe I need to rethink what I'm using these rooms in my house for, I might be missing out on something! ;)

  4. Congrats! :D

Imagic is the next one that I'm actively tackling as I do really like their games. I'm 4 short right now (Fathom, quick step, solar storm and subterranea) but I'm on a mission. Activision was my first complete collection and I'm really proud of that one and enjoy it a lot to boot because they're great games. I'm just a few manuals shy of having all of the Activision manuals as well. That's part of my goal for all of my games as I'm not really into boxed but I do like the original manuals! I have 200+ trade games so if someone is looking for something in particular, just ask as I'd love to help someone complete a collection!

I'll also gladly accept trades of Atari, NES, etc. stuff as well as manuals for those systems! The above prices don't include shipping but I'll do it as cheaply as possible. Also check the trade list (link in signature) for other things you might want to add...... :)

    Thanks,

  6. I now know that Sony remotes have a button on them labeled MTS which is unprotected and toggles between Stereo, Mono and SAP sound.  For the record, if you have somehow managed to toggle this to SAP, NO SOUND WILL COME OUT!  So there you have it.  The worst part is that I actually had to read the instructions.... :ponder:
Most newer TVs have that button, actually.

Putting it on the TV would have been much better because I wouldn't have accidentally poked it like I did with it on the remote..... :)

  7. Okay, I had finally given up on figuring out what the problem was as I've gotten used to playing "soundless" games but this just doesn't work for some games that you need to be able to hear the sound (Dolphin comes to mind, not that I'd really want to play it but....). Anyway, I went on a mission this morning and I'll admit my own cluelessness here to spare others the trouble of figuring it out if it ever happens to you....not that it would. I didn't want to run the Atari sound through my surround sound system because I like to listen to the satellite 70s station while I play. If I wanted sound, it could come out of the TV so I have the Atari run straight into the AV connection on the TV (a Sony to be precise as that's relevant). I knew it wasn't a speaker problem as when I have the NES plugged into the RCA jacks on the front, I get sound. (I never have sound coming out of the TV for anything else as I have the surround sound system.) I now know that Sony remotes have a button on them labeled MTS which is unprotected and toggles between Stereo, Mono and SAP sound. For the record, if you have somehow managed to toggle this to SAP, NO SOUND WILL COME OUT! So there you have it. The worst part is that I actually had to read the instructions.... :ponder:

  8. I have the following 5200 carts for sale ($2 each + shipping for all but Pengo, that's trade only) or trade (will trade for manuals and I need a ton-PM me with what you have):

    Centipede

    Dig Dug

    Defender

    Pac Man

    Galaxian

    Pengo

    Pole Position

    Qix

    Super Breakout

Among others, I'm looking for Robotron, and most 3s. I'm also looking for a ton of manuals. I also have INTV, 2600, 7800, NES, etc. so if you have ANYTHING to trade and want one of these PM me and let me know. I'm really flexible! :D

  9. Looks like a good deal though. I have paid more for individual games at times.

These type lots are the one "gamble" that I'll sometimes take. I bid what I'd essentially be comfortable losing if most of the stuff didn't work with the hope that most of it does work. I've been lucky a couple of times...the last big Atari one that I won didn't list a bunch of the computer games of which one was Jawbreaker that I sold to a very happy AA member in Scotland for a price we were both quite pleased with! I've got to start getting rid of some of my dupes though because they're taking over my living room....that's the one problem with buying lots! :)

  10. Very nice But you didnt get the salmon.  :(

Actually, I did and 4 chocolate bars as well. :D He felt bad because he shipped it a few days late so he threw it in as an apology gift! Nice as hell guy if I may say so.

  11. That was a nice pick-up. I think people stayed away because the initial picture makes it all look so junky and dirty. Congrats.

The carts definitely needed an interior cleaning and the units aren't much to look at (one of them actually has a blob of gum stuck to the bottom...somebody must have mistaken it for a movie theater seat ) but the boxes are in excellent shape. They are some of the only non-squashed ones I've ever gotten. BTW, INTV River Raid is quite different from the Atari version and I have yet to totally figure Diner out!

  12. Okay, this finally came in and I'm REALLY excited!

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...egory=3550&rd=1

I know that the guy said that almost none of the carts worked on the INTV II that he tested them on but it must be broken because they're fine!

Among others, I got a NM Truckin' in the box with all of the paperwork, overlays, etc. including the warranty card, Diner, Championship Tennis, boxed Frogger and Pitfall and tons more. Also cool is the shrinkwrapped Sub Hunt which is one from Germany with the German manual in the slots on the back outside the package but in the shrinkwrap. I think I got one hell of a deal! Woo-hoo :D

  13. Are you saying 7800 Centipede has SIMULTANEOUS two-player action?

    I never knew that!

It's a blast. Have a couple of beers and see how many times you yell "quit shooting me in the a*&" at your buddy. Not only do you have to watch out for the spider, etc., you are also being stalked by your fellow player....I think that it comes up on the screen as "Two Player Competition" (basically, it isn't the Two Player Alternating game). :)
