  1. I think you can see one in this thread http://atariage.com/forums/topic/157678-intv2600-system-changer/ Lots of stuff going on in this picture! Forrest
  2. I asked about the power supply because I am pretty sure that the O2 calls for 12 volt AC, I thought the 5200 took a DC power supply? I know the O2 will work with the DC power supply but when I hooked one up to mine I thought it acted funny. Forrest
  3. If you had the keyboard separated that was the hard part. I would try cleaning it while its separated with a very liberal amount of electronics cleaner, You can buy it at most Auto stores or even Wal Mart. That's spilled Soda Pop can really mess with stuff. What's the output on the 5200 power supply? Forrest
  4. intvnut Thanks for getting back with me again. I think some of that is past my skills but thanks for the help. I think I might try to find another board or another cheap Intellivison. Forrest
  5. intvnut Thanks for getting back with me. It was just like you said, mine has the GTE 3539 RAMs just like you thought. I was hopping it might be one of the socketed chips. Guess I will try to find out if I can find some replacements. Forrest
  6. Got another Intellivison to try a AV mod kit on and maybe add some external controller ports to. When I first got it would just have the black or green screen. Cleaned the cartridge port, took the power switch apart and cleaned it and also cleaned the controllers. Turns right on first try but now has the display below. Sounds great ,colors look great and can even play the games. Seems like its always the "backgrounds" and not he characters themselves. Found this thread http://atariage.com/forums/topic/225191-bought-a-sick-intellivision-need-help/ but does not be the same symptoms mine has. Was hopping some body could point me in the right direction? I do have a "parts" Intellivison I would be able to pull parts from. Thanks Forrest
  7. Nice find, First Year Sears Heavy Sixer. I tell people I only play games on Sears gaming systems and they give me an odd look Forrest
  8. Heck I skiped the NES and sell the ones I do find I really don't get the fascination with Mario and all that jazz, but I never watched cartoons either Forrest
  9. I just got a 1702 monitor and found this during one of my searches http://console5.com/store/6-foot-1-8m-gold-plated-s-video-s-vhs-to-y-c-luma-chroma-adapter-cable.html Forrest
  10. Did the one transistor / AV mod this past weekend on my Odyssey 2. I am really impressed with how it looks and sounds, I thought it the RF looked nice but this really did make an improvement. Demon Attack and Atlantis look great! I used a Transistor that you can buy at your local Radio Shack. Thinking about posting instruction since the information seems spread around the internet and assumes your a electronic expert Forrest
  11. I think it really depends on if you play more Atari or Intellivision (: I really just buy games I like to play. For my 2600 I have a Harmony Cart so I can try all the game I want. Then if I like one I will look for the cart. I have no interested in having hundred's of turd games that I don't play. I would really say I am more interesting in collecting different versions of the consoles themselves or different joy sticks and peripherals.
  12. Frank answered a WTB add I had posted about Shark Shark. Sent me some pictures and item arrived just as described! also got two other game from in the process that were very nice. Very professional and fast and reasonable shipping. Forrest
  13. That's going to look good, I was afraid to take the keyboard off so I masked it off. Forrest
  14. Looking for Shark Shark, lose cartridge would be fine. Just need one to play. Thanks Forrest
  15. I was going to ask the same question about what type of TV you are using. My Odyssey 2 looks great on my 13 inch tube TV. But on my small 13 inch LCD it shows only in Black and White. Forrest
  16. Looking for Demon Attack for the Odyssey 2. Do not need a box or Instructions, just want to play my favorite 2600 game on the O2 Willing to pay reasonable price, or possible trade? Thanks Forrest
  17. I guess I was talking about this http://atariage.com/forums/topic/220851-intellivision-controller-adapters-what-input-controller-should-be-used/?hl=%2Bsega+%2Badapter&do=findComment&comment=2906777 not the mini dildo on the Atari Joy Stick Seems the seller on EBAY has figured out a way to do it all in the controller and without and extra power supply.
  18. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SEGA-Genesis-Mod-Controller-Joystick-for-Intellivision-/301737387252?hash=item4640f324f4 I am sure some of you guys have seen this, has anybody used one? I know there has been worked done in the past to build and adapter for the Sega controllers, but this seems to be all self contained. I would think this would involve more than just re wiring the Sega controller? I was thinking about one for playing Pac Man and Burgertime. Thanks Forrest
  19. None, and I dont have Pac Man for the same reason. Forrest
  20. All Chaps are ass-less... Just depends if you werar pants or jeans under them
  21. Taking inspiration from this thread and following the wiring instructions I added joy stick ports onto my Odyssey 2 that are Atari compatible. I also rewired the factory joy sticks so I can still use them. Instead of connecting new cables to the mother board though I just used the factory joy stick cable that was already in place and wired them onto the new ports. Since I was at it I also added and on/off LED light and hooked up a new RF cable (some how I found a silver one in my parts box the looks pretty sharp) and cleaned the motherboard and cartridge port. The outside of the case had some pretty bad scratches on it so I decide to repaint it. I used Rust Oleum Silver textured metallic paint. Its still has a factory look with a little more pop. The texture is very subtle like a textured plastic. I have had very good luck using this paint in the past. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/184738-modded-my-odyssey-2-to-use-atari-joysticks/
  22. Just did something very similar on my Odyssey 2, but I used an actual shielded coax cable, like what you use for hooking up cable TV or a TV antenna. I noticed on your one picture the ground strap is not hooked up, did you hook that back up? Could make the difference. Also it looks like you are using a Red RCA cable, those are really made for the Audio signal and that could also be the problem. If you want to use those I would try to find a Yellow which is for video. But I do think the RF coaxial cable is the best option. My Odyssey 2 has the best RF picture of any of my old systems, its really amazing how nice it looks.
  23. Just got my Odyssey 2. Last time I played one was in the local Twin Fair Department store, I would say 1981. Cant belive how nice and clear the RF picture looks, it really is amazing. I also think the joysticks have real nice feel, I really like the tension the sticks have on them, they dont feel all lose and sloppy. I do think I will mod it so I can remove the contollers or also use other ones if I would like like. I really dont like attached controllers on anything. Got K C Munchkin with it, what a great game. Really puts Pac Man to shame on the 2600. Cant wait to find some other games for it like Demmon Attack. Forrest
